I seem to remember a place for boarding pets at WDW. Does anyone know anything about this? I seriously doubt I'd use it, but I was just wondering.

My dog, Bonnie, mutt (poodle, terrier mix) , about 22 lbs stayed at the AK kennel in 2/2002. We were staying at AKL and AsMo at the time. When AK wasn't open, you just drove in, around the parking lot, to near the kennel, and security would let you in to walk the dog. She was given a bigger kennel because it wasn't crowded. When we went to walk Bonnie (3 to 4 times/day) we would also water the other dogs, check on them. But the security guards really checked in on the dogs a lot overnight.

I would normally leave my dog home, and leave her with family, but the whole family was with us. And we did board her, and we called to check on her, and she stopped eating. She seemed to enjoy her trip to Florida - she was so happy to be going with us. So she will again be visiting Disney this summer with us at the ripe old age of 13. But maybe at a different kennel. We will be at BW and am trying to decide between Epcot or MGM kennel. My biggest concern would be the noise from the fireworks bothering her. So if it is bad, I will leave her over at AK.

The kennels are pretty good. We have boarded our pets there on numorous occassions. The FW one is our Fave as we particularly like the friendly cms there. They always seem to remember the pets names or it could be we have been their too much.

You wont have any problems using these. You will need to walk them yourself. Food is provided or you can bring your own. Dont forget to bring proof of immunization especially the kennel cough.
