I was just checking out parking and I have seen on ebay you can buy aaa parking passes. Is this worth it? also sometimes I use to see annual passes to rent? have disney clamped down on this?

AAA parking is not a free parking pass, it just allows you to park closer in the parking lot.

As for people renting their APs to others for free parking or other privileges, that is just crazy. I really don't know who would risk their AP for that scheme, but I suppose there's always someone.

It's certainly not something that Disney would permit if they knew about it.

Seriously? There is no way you can 'rent' an AP....if the finger scan doesn't work, you can be asked to show ID...which you aren't to have.
As far as the AAA parking passes go, AAA states that these passes are not for sale or to be transferred. When most AAA offices issue one of these, it is a perk of booking some part of your WDW trip thru AAA. Then, the travel dates can be put on them. There is no way I would buy one of these from someone in order to just park a bit closer to the park entrance.

Googy4tink speaks the truth. Also, even with the AAA pass, if you go during the very busy times you are not guaranteed a closer parking spot. If that area is already filled, you are out of luck.

Disney World has been known to ask for a photo ID when showing an annual pass for parking. Which is why my husband always makes sure to go into a lane where *I* am the one to show my pass and ID. Also, if an annual passholder were to "rent" you their pass and it was discovered, the passholder would lose their pass and probably any future rights to a pass.

And I just read a post about someone's frustrations with AAA parking (which you get for free so paying for it is a waste of money) and that they weren't even allowed to get in there because it was full. So I wouldn't bother with giving money to someone who got that pass for free.

i agree wiith everyone here. i am an AP holder and we always have to present ID at the parking gate, so 'renting' out the AP is impossible.

As far as AAA, I'd contact your local AAA and get the passes directly from them. You'll avoid rip off on ebay from shady folks who may be lurking and you'll get a possibly discounted parking. I haven't checked on parking but I know my local AAA has slightly discounted park tickets and they are totally legit of course.

Regarding AAA parking pass, I did purchase one before my trip in 2008. We went in Oct and crowds were decent. I liked having it b/c we were able to park closer to the gate. I was not on the boards then and didn't know this was a "no no".
