Disney on Broadway

Don't see really anywhere to post about Disney on Broadway so thought I'd try here. Taking a trip to New York in June and would like to take in a show. Never been to one so was curious if anyone had any advice for seating. Was thinking about Lion King - are the seats that are to the sides ok? Views ok from there? Aladdin is also there now but kind of think I would enjoy Lion King more and then maybe also do something like Wicked. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

You might want to ask your question on the Broadway thread as it grts more traffic and the people there are quite knowledgable there and would know about the theatres, setting, etc

I haven't been to New York so I just go to the shows that come here. Loved Lion King and Wicked is my favourite.

I've seen both the Lion King and Aladdin on Broadway and both shows are great. You can't go wrong with either. I've been seated in orchestra and mezzanine for both shows at different times and have never had any issues seeing the performances. One time I sat in upper mezzanine for Mary Poppins (not on Broadway anymore nor one of your options, I know) and had a pole obstructing my view a bit. But, I was forewarned that this could occur when I purchased the discount tickets in Times Sqaure at TKTS. Hopefully, you would experience something similar if you buy tix in a similar fashion. Enjoy the show!!

For Lion King, I honestly believe you can't go wrong with any seat. I actually like fromt mezzine there so you get a full picture of everything with out havig to look around when the bigger scenes happen (only 2 really). For Aladdin either front Mezz or closer Orchestra is prefered. I sat back Mezz there the first week it was open and felt like I was missing some of the details of the costumes and facial expression of the actors.

Yes, it is! You can get some great deals on shows -- if you can tolerate the lines! Get there early enough if you ever want to check it out!

Yeah I saw those lines when I was there in March. Yikes.
