Jeez, I checked out of here on Friday all caught up. Spent the weekend trying to catch up on Nebo's trippie (now only 6 pages behind!) and come back here to find myself 4 pages back. I seem to really know how to miss the party!

Actually, we just renovated our bathrooms at home and I'm so proud I wanted to hold our recent party in the bathroom. Either bathroom!

Well, not really. But I made them all gush. I had to live with the 60s era ideal of the modern bath for a long time. New bathrooms are pretty exciting to me!

Um, Laura, you really have to watch that dangling participle thing. Using "gush" and "bathroom" in the same line paints the wrong picture...

I will say that I have owned 3 homes, with a total of 8 bathrooms all built in the early 70's. I have removed more @#$%! avacado, powder blue, purple, yellow, and dusty rose porcelain than I care to think. On the plus side, I can re and re a toilet in about 20 minutes now.

Powder blue and yellow here. We had done partial renovations over the year but this time we took them down to studs and got rid of all that tile on the walls.

I don't think there is anything in the world harder to get off your hands than the wax from a toilet "Johnny Ring",, it is absolutely completely repellent to soap and water. Now, when I have to replace a toilet, I usually move.
