Disney Nomads ... 3 Resorts in 8 Nights! ALL NEW 9/2!

Ooooorrrrrrr, you could post an update. ;)

Ok smartypants. ;)

I'll try to get one soon but have a very busy weekend coming up.

Great update now waiting not so patiently, I am from NJ you know, for the next one!

Oh right. Those impatient New Jerseyans. Glad I'm not one of those.

Well exactly! You're closer than the rest of us; you go over and give her a nudge. Or do you mean..., oh!... hurry up Laura or you might be swimmin' wit da fishies...

Well yes, especially since she lives near the beach.

But we're in the cultured part of NJ, right Tink? We don't talk like that.

I just found your TR from Nebo's, and I love it! Thanks for posting this witty and entertaining tale of wonder!

Maria :upsidedow

Thanks Maria! And I'd love to know where you came up with the name Worfiedoodles.

Josh is a pain in the butt! He seriously needs to get a life. Go write your own TR Josh!

Yeah Josh!

I love that the CMs always offer to take the tags off newly purchased merch. Makes all the difference when traveling with a stuffed animal hoarding 5 year old.

Yes, it those little kindnesses that make us keep wanting to come back.

Could be worse. My 5 year old is obsessed with Micheal Kors. She saw a MK Iphone holder yesterday and suggested that we purchase not only the holder but the Iphone as well as a "special treat" for her.

She has nice taste!

In the Midwest this is typical. We're helpful and friendly here too. Don't you smile at strangers passing by?

I lived in Wisconsin for 9 years so I have the nice thing going.

I think that I might send them to the island. (The island is where I send people that I really dislike-such as Alex Trebek and Bobby Knight. Tyra Banks is on the short list to go next, but she amuses me as much as she makes me crazy.)

I have a whole bunch of people that I love to hate/watch on TV. The housewives, the bachelor, those people looking at houses on HGTV...

I often imagine scenarios for strangers.

Glad I'm not alone.

Great update!

Thanks Shannon!

Just a thought about keeping your TR on page one-- I think that it would help if you UPDATE!! I can only procrastinate unpacking my house for as long as I have important things to do on the computer. I'd appreciate some help here.

I just updated on Monday, right? Yeesh.

Good luck with the unpacking. At least unpacking is more fun than packing.

now I have to go out and get both Fifty Shades of Grey, AND Kingdom Keepers.

You know, we have all of the Kingdom Keepers books.........

Was only gonna read an hour and read for two. Caught up and ready to join!

My thoughts along the way:

Wine, I had to pour myself a glass with all of your advertising!

Shot tinkerbell!? Say it ain't so!

Peanuts-My son is allergic to peanuts. Are these the real deal, or the disney version?

I have a song stuck in my head sung by a WB frog!

Now i have a strage urge to bake!

My kids are gonna love this game and this is the first I heard of it. Sounds like one they played at a Great Wolfe Lodge.

Im gonna think of your DH as Dr. Doolittle.

Sweet now I have another place to mess with Steve!

Yay! Welcome!

Cheers!

I'm afraid so. Don't tell anyone.

Peanuts-My son is allergic to peanuts. Are these the real deal, or the disney version?

Racking my brain. I've rambled on about a lot of stuff but I can't remember peanuts and I'm not reading through this mess looking for them.

I have a song stuck in my head sung by a WB frog!

I'd ask what it is but then it would get stuck in my head too.

Now i have a strage urge to bake!

Ponzi started it!

Very fun and good to do when it gets crowded and you don't have fastpasses.

Sweet now I have another place to mess with Steve!

Feel free to be a smart*ss with me too.

In lieu of an actual update, I'll post this little tour of our villa that Mr. Squid made. You'll notice the little donuts, our lime green luggage and our view of concrete landscaping.

Ponzi started it!

Did not! I'm telling!

donuts... check.
lime green luggage... check.
view of concrete landscaping... ummm... ?? That's a great view! What're you talking about? Water, boats, Contempo. I thought it was pretty nice. :confused3

My fave part? "<gasp!> donuts!" :lmao:
I also liked the part where first Mr. Squid says, "I should've taped before we first walked in...". Then goes ahead and does it... "Disregard that first part, folks... never happened. Don't know what you're talking about."

Did too!

Ok ok. It's pretty nice but I think I talked of concrete landscaping in my report so I'm just repeating it.

Sheesh Ponzi. We're allowed to exaggerate in these things, right?;)

I think he meant before we got all settled in with our stuff.

Michigan J Frog

Never new this frog was named that!

http://www.**************.net/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/peanuts-bankslee.jpeg

Looks real to me! Are they glazed over cause this could be very bad for people with severe allergies like my son. This is unsettling for me at the moment and I am baffled why WDW would do something like this.

I bet there is a thread all about this........somewhere..............guess what I'll be doing today..........

I looked it up. They're not real for exactly that reason. Phew.

Just got off the phone with a disney employee and had to hear it from them myself! Phew is right. I bet they will have to post a sign regarding this at some point as word gets out and more phone calls start coming in. It looks real, they are great with the detail!

You caved and posted! Thanks for the video! Love the concrete landscaping. :lmao:

I'll probably put CR on the bottom of my deluxe list for exactly that reason.

Donuts!!

Mr. Squid, videographer! Is there anything he can't do? He plays with children and small animals. He likes donuts. Sounds like the perfect man.:thumbsup2

Moooommmm!!! Laura's being mean to me!

Ok you two. You knock it off right now or I will turn this car around and go home (where I can take a "nerve pill" as my grandmother used to call them and have a glass of Mommy's special juice). ;)

Ahhhh!!! BLT :goodvibes. I really want to stay in a one BR but we pick quantity over quality and stay in a studio. I call it family bonding at he beginning of the trip... At the end, not so much. :scared:

Have a great weekend all!!!!!

I think those glow cubes are intended for grown-up drinks, you know, the alcohal will kill the germs! The clip-ons are for the non germ killing beverages.

Is this the TR where someone posted about Casa Di Amore? If it is, I just sent my big Brooklyn Italian family there and they loved it, so thanks for the tip!

I believe I mentioned it - I hope it was here - if it was someone else, sorry to steal your thunder. I'm so glad they liked it! Nice to know it is somewhat authentic! The owner said his family had a place just like it in NY and tried to copy it - sounds like they were successful!

Ah, my DisBoards name...

Worf was our beloved cat companion for 18 years. He was a black long-hair, and he definitely had attitude. But, if you called him Worfiedoodles, he knew it was time to get brushed and he came running because he loved it. Then it just sort of spawned into a nickname, and hey, who else is going to have Worfiedoodles on the DisBoard?!

Worf has gone to his reward along with Gecko (named for Gordon Gecko from Wall Street), and now we have Chewbacca and Spock. A definite theme to our pet names, there is :yoda:

Maria :upsidedow

Okay, I'm all caught up! Sorry, I've had so many interruptions I haven't been able to post.

Hmmm, I read Kingdom Keepers and think I see Hologram children running around the parks! :lmao:

Perry has an original name for a girl! That can be hard at school, but memorable in a career! :thumbsup2 Love the T-shirt she chose!

Oops. Now I'm acting like Nebo and posting on the wrong account. That last Mr. Squid post was from me.

:lmao: I thought Mr. Squid was arguing with himself!

Oh! Helga - since I'm from Minnesota I can tell you that she is probably not a nefarious card keeper - looking to prey on inexperienced children and card collectors - she is just friendly. We talk to everyone - even when we shouldn't. Kind of like the "I'm from Jersey - you from Jersey?" Joe Piscapo on SNL years ago.:rotfl2:

Thanks Maria! And I'd love to know where you came up with the name Worfiedoodles.

Laura,, actually,, Worfiedoodles is her real name, Maria is just a silly nickname somebody came up with for her.
In Levanorwelgormanese, Worfiedoodles actually means,,"The Fastpasses have expired" Look it up!

Yeah Josh!

Yeah, Josh.

Yes, it those little kindnesses that make us keep wanting to come back.

She has nice taste!

I would'nt know,, I haven't,,,uh oh,,,, STOP RIGHT THERE!

I lived in Wisconsin for 9 years so I have the nice thing going.

Four friends took a 10 day trip to Wisconsin with me once when we were just 18,,,, and it seemed like 9 years.
However,,, did you know back then that they let 18 year old Illinois boys into strip clubs?

I just updated on Monday, right? Yeesh.

Good luck with the unpacking. At least unpacking is more fun than packing.

laura,,, I know you're kidding most of the time,,,, but realy,,,slipping to page two is nothing,,,,it's when my reports fall too ofter to page 3 that I draw the line.

Remember Riglee? She was often on page 3,,,, because people were mesmerized by what they were reading,,, and idn't respond themselves,,,heck,,, her views were just incredible that she was gettin every day. You are doing a great job,,, really,,, and if you don't believe me,,, just ask Ponzi!:lmao:

I, do, agree with you,,, BLT is the concrete resort,,, and,, well,, you know my views on it since that was my last report,,,, but I am really looking forward to hearing about your next resort,,, and how you liked it.

Will Mr. Squid do the Cheetoh's trick with the giraffes?

It looks real, they are great with the detail!

Yes, they're amazing with the details and each time I visit I notice something new.

You caved and posted! Thanks for the video! Love the concrete landscaping. :lmao:

I'll probably put CR on the bottom of my deluxe list for exactly that reason.

There are a lot of great things about the place though. You can't beat the location and the restaurants are amazing.

Mr. Squid, videographer! Is there anything he can't do? He plays with children and small animals. He likes donuts. Sounds like the perfect man.:thumbsup2

And he plays guitar too!

Ok you two. You knock it off right now or I will turn this car around and go home (where I can take a "nerve pill" as my grandmother used to call them and have a glass of Mommy's special juice). ;)

:rotfl:

Ahhhh!!! BLT :goodvibes. I really want to stay in a one BR but we pick quantity over quality and stay in a studio. I call it family bonding at he beginning of the trip... At the end, not so much. :scared:

We stayed in a studio at Boardwalk for a couple nights to lengthen our trip.

Ah, my DisBoards name...

Maria :upsidedow

So funny how nicknames get started.

Perry has an original name for a girl! That can be hard at school, but memorable in a career! :thumbsup2 Love the T-shirt she chose!

Yes, I guess she'll have to deal with some confusion over whether she's a man or woman though.

:lmao: I thought Mr. Squid was arguing with himself!

No. Just me being ditzy.

Oh! Helga - since I'm from Minnesota I can tell you that she is probably not a nefarious card keeper - looking to prey on inexperienced children and card collectors - she is just friendly. Except for the binder full of cards she was carrying.

Aw Nebo. You're so sweet. You're my trip report mentor, my guru, my Yoda. I'll try not to let it get me down.

I was a silent reader for a long time. I wish I could go back to some of those reports I enjoyed and tell the writers thanks for the entertainment.

I, do, agree with you,,, BLT is the concrete resort,,, and,, well,, you know my views on it since that was my last report,,,, but I am really looking forward to hearing about your next resort,,, and how you liked it.

It must seem like I'll never get there!

Will Mr. Squid do the Cheetoh's trick with the giraffes?

Now that would be a sight to see!

A few weeks ago Mr. Squid sent the link to my report to my family and some friends including Sheena and Druid.

My Mom and Dad are visiting us this weekend and my Dad brought up the trip to the Playboy Club. He had a couple interesting notes.

First, one reason we were allowed to go is because the association said kids could stay free. What they didn't know was that four of the five us kids (my oldest brother was in college) would be going. The hotel manager came to our room and saw us all crowded in there like refugees and said this will not do! So he upgraded us to a suite! I wish I could remember it better.

Then he asked me, "What's the worst thing that can happen to a bunny?"

"Weight gain, pregnancy, amputation?"

"Nope. Losing her tail."

Apparently, there were men stealing their bunny tails as a prize to show their buddies. After that, the bunnies were instructed on how to keep their um... tails away from groping hands. I wonder how they could do that while walking through a crowded room with a tray of drinks.
