Disney Names Baby Zebra in Honor of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary

Disney has announced that the baby Hartmann’s mountain zebra born at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has been named after the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World. Here’s the announcement:

The newest Hartmann’s mountain zebra foal at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is now one month old! Keepers chose the name Zarina because it’s Persian for “golden one.” It’s the perfect name for a foal born just after Walt Disney World Resort’s golden anniversary.

As seen in the map above, 7 out of the past 11 days have been effectively sold out before the park has opened. November 16th was the quickest day to sell out, with all Individual Lighting Lane skip-the-line passes sold out before 7:30am.

Part of the problem is that it often continues to have technical difficulties.

Imagine how bad it will be when Galactic Star Cruiser opens, and those resort guests automatically get a chunk of the morning ride times every other day.

I like that idea!

I mean, escape rooms are pretty fun and imagine what they could do if they brought it up to that "Disney Level." Bandwidth would need to be super high thoug, but a place here was experimenting with 15 minute escape experiences, so maybe if they kept it short and sweet. Maybe it could take the place of The Void as an experience at Downtown Disney/Disney Springs.
