Park Hours Extended at Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on Select October Dates

Magic Kingdom will be open an extra hour on October 18th, 23rd, and 30th. Instead of closing at 9PM, the parks will be open from 9AM to 10PM.

Guests will also get an extra hour at Disney’s Animal Kingdom from October 20th through 23rdand October 27th through 30th. Instead of closing at 7PM on those days, the park will be open from 8AM to 8PM.

Oh ok. So I know you can start at 12am. But if you get to the parks & decide wait times are longer than you expected, can you purchase it right then & there in the park?

You could, but as with Fastpass those that buy earlier will get the big ticket rides at the earlier times. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure Disney said just like Fastpass they availability of Genie+ rides can run out. Personally if the evidence points towards a crowded park day at a ride heavy park like MK I would spring for it early, if the crowds are seemingly lower and Disney is staffing appropriately I would wait and see.

Good morning everyone! Genie-pig here!! We arrive at WDW Sunday and haven’t received Magical Express info in mail yet. Has Disney stopped sending this by mail? Thanks! (I am working on g-pig shirt but may not be able to do it - not crafty at all!)

They no longer mail ME information since they are no longer transferring luggage (no yellow tags, so no need to send). Scan your magic band or just give your name at the ME desk when you arrive
