Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun!

That's the thing. Many guests, don't go open to close. But with the Genie+ purchase, you are going to feel you NEED to stay to get full value. Those that like to sleep in on vacation and arrive later in the day (our family), will not purchase this, as by the time you arrive, potentially there will be no 'good' tier 2 attractions left and the value of the add on will not be there. I refuse to pay extra to ride old rides, and extra extra to ride new rides.
We already discussed as a family, and will continue to vacation as we always did (minus, the surety of knowing we had at least 3 rides booked in with a minimal wait ahead of time... sigh). No need to spend more money. The rides at Disney are not what makes our vacations magical.

Well said, I am not worried at all.

I think this is going to put people in three categories:

1. those that are crazy planners and strategize everything will buy it and use it to its max potential.
2. those that will buy it casually as they feel is best
3. those that click through the booking process for their disney package and will add to cart each option (this is the group that also books dining plan because they like the paid for ahead ) and will book package if its within in budge and then move on and not think about it. This group won't use it well and will not bog the system done much either, these are the same groups that half the time don't realize they have to book reservations to use their DP TS credits or who end up with a million credits left over.

That's how I'm interpreting it ... which adds some strategy if you rope drop. And if you're already up at 7:00 AM there's a decent chance you may be looking to rope drop anyway

Exactly - also rope drop will now be even more important for those that don't want to pay for G+.

I thought only select Disney Resort guests can do the single G+ reservation at 7AM ... along with the additional 'tier 1' selections for an added fee

From what I've found on a couple other sites, G+ is 7am for everyone, no matter where they are staying. The priority is only for the tier 1, charge-per-ride attractions.

I'm annoyed about Space, Test Track, and the Safari.

I'm also really surprised Frozen isn't LL only.

I'm gonna say it - Space at MK would not be worth an additional charge.
We'll see about Frozen when they announce the full specs - but I think Remy would bump it from the list.
