From one native Oregonian to another, the rain is very different. :) I live in Texas now and I like to point out to my family that we get as much rain here as they do in Oregon. We just get it in buckets a few minutes a day in the summer, instead of over the course of 9 months...
Like here in New Orleans today from no chance of rain this morning for the day to a flash flood advisory in a few hours!

For the 50th announcements I'm going to guess the return of Fantasmic and the start date of the early park hours for resort guests. Also soon I'd guess opening date for Boma and/or Jiko to go along with AKL reopening and FP return mostly the same as prior to the shutdown (maybe a pay to play option attached but mostly the same). No insider info, just guesses for fun and figure AKL will need at least one more dining option when it opens.

Lol, I laughed at your previous post because I thought you were trying to be funny based on the shenanigans of last week - I imagine I wasn’t the only given the reactions to that post!
I didn't even think about it that way, but yeah I can see how it could be taken that way lol.

So yeah, part of it was the 50th stuff being announced. The other part is up in the air for timing, but involves something that a lot of people have been asking about. That's the last hint I can give. I don't know if they'll announce it tomorrow or not with the 50th stuff, or separately at a later date.

Perfect. I can handle a couple hours of rain

For those not missing FP...we're your experiences prior to the huge re ent increase in capacity?
We are here now. Did MK on Sunday and AK yesterday. We have always been big fans of fast pass and were worried how it would be without them.

It has actually been kind of nice. I can’t do coasters (motion sickness), so I have actually had a chance to go through the lines with my husband and daughters and they move pretty quickly. Almost always moving, always something to look at or see. And my husband isn’t spending every free moment with his face in the app looking for the next good fast pass!

We are fortunate to have 2 days in all parks except Epcot, so we will hit up the “big” rides on our second day that we couldn’t do on our first (which so far is only 7 dwarves and flight of passage). To be fair, it’s not that we ran out of park time, just ran out of steam LOL

Heading to Hollywood Studios today, so we’ll see how things are there!

Reminder:

Disney World to Share More 50th Anniversary Announcements on Good Morning America this morning (starts at 7am EST.) on ABC (If anyone wants to have a viewing party this morning!)
The last time GMA had a 50th sneak peek in February, it was to announce new costumes and sprucing up of the castle and other icons like Spaceship Earth. In other words, pretty lackluster. The current preview video focuses on cast members and mentions bubbles, lights, balloons, and interactions. Gearing up for a parade? Maybe even one where regular cast members walk in it? I'd be surprised if they announce something old returning, like Typhoon Lagoon or Fantasmic (unless there is a special 50th overlay). I feel like it will have to be something we haven't heard about before.

Not getting hopes up for anything exciting tbh. I wouldn't think they would announce something like fp coming back on TV either.
