I was thinking of the characters last night. I wonder if this will take significant time to get CMs back that have been thoroughly trained not only on the interactions (thinking of interactions like the one at Park Fare breakfast and Storybook dining) but also the signatures. That's not an easy hire, and I have to expect they didn't retain everyone because there were A LOT of characters between park meet and greets and character meals.

not that I am happy that people who wanted tickets may not have got them, but I am happy that it seems like capacity will be low thanks to the very quick sellouts.

Restaurants has to be priority #1 - increasing capacity to near 100% (and we will be at 100% by July 4th) - we need places to eat, it will be a PR nightmare if they can't get the restaurants open soon. Same goes for Typhoon Lagoon - Blizzard Beach just can not handle the summer crowds. I am very confident that we will see both happening very, very soon! Yes, staffing and training are the issue and both are being addressed as we speak!

Now I feel silly for bumming about characters. It is a much bigger role than I thought and I am THANKFUL that they put so much training into it, cause we've NEVER had a bad experience. I can wait for that!

This might be a good thing. Selling out that quick it probably is very limited attendance, could be under 5k instead of over 10k.

I wonder if the quick sellout dates in October will equal additional days being added for that month. (I guess that would really be additional additional days since they already added on dates).

Really they could run it every night. It’s not like mnsshp or mvmcp that ate into regular park hours.

We've had 1 bad experience and it's why I'll never return to O'hana. My son was 6 and squeezed Mickey's nose. Mickey walked a full table away, turned around and shook his finger at him. He then went on the other side of the tables behind us to come up on the other side of my daughter. When my son leaned into the picture Mickey reached over my daughter's shoulder and pushed him out of it. It was humiliating. Per Disney, that Mickey would be retrained. That's how I know they must have to go through a lot of training on how to handle themselves around kids.

Don't forget that (I'm sure) they have yet to announce some offerings for the 50th. I wouldn't count on them having Boo Bash every night in October when they could also be running something for the 50th at that point.

Just looked up the things done to celebrate the 25th and holy cow there was a LOT. Not just the Remember the Magic parade.

I missed it because I was messing with the camera. My kids told me later and my mother (who was with us) confirmed it. And he's not in the picture I took.

Would of thought they would of made some reveals by now considering it's only 3.5 months away? Just give us any sneak peeks! Entertainment, food, merch! When was DL sneek peeks revealed for their most recent anniversay?

I am the same. I guess for me, the characters are what makes it magical. Some of those CM's really make your trip special.

Not to overshare - but one year my daughter dressed up as Jasmine for CRT. Jasmine wasn't there. She cried, and cried. Belle saw, came over, consoled her and together they wrote a note to Jasmine - which Belle promised to give to Jasmine when she saw her later. A few years later we went back to CRT and Jasmine was there - when she came to our table my daughter gushed about dressing up, crying, the note with Belle - and that CM didn't miss a beat. . .telling her that she still had that note among her treasures, and how she had been looking for her ever since - and how happy she was to find see her, look how tall she got, etc.. Again, TMI - but,. . . .that is what makes my family go back. The rides are great, the food is often wonderful, the resort beautiful - but it is characters that make it different. And it is building memories like that, that makes me give Disney my paycheck.

not TMI AT ALL. This is what we love to hear. This is what keeps us all going back. This is why we buy clothes 2nd hand and don't take any vacations except Disney each year. We will keep going back as long as that magic is alive, and I don't see it leaving anytime soon.
