I’m so conflicted. I have a reservation for Disney for October. I will only go if there are more offerings and no indoor masks. But I want to buy boo bash tickets but they’re non refundable. Can’t Disney throw me a bone! Lol

It just seems odd that it's being "unveiled" now. Shouldn't they have installed those dividers earlier? They've had similar ones on buses for many months. Strange timing to be just adding them now.

I just did a search and another site posted it was updated on 5/17... possible it’s just ‘new to that website.’ I’ll keep digging just to confirm.

I have no idea - like I said, it was a guestimate on my part based on my limited experience that is in no way related to Disney monorails.

I understand. I have one scheduled in July & have done several trips with masks. Not doing it in July heat again. I have been pro-mask but It’s enough already. Don’t have to decide to cancel til 5 days before b/c it’s room only but still.

Disney further relaxes its mask policy for Walt Disney World theme parks but the change suggests Disney World may not drop all mask requirements imminently (nothing major)

Previously, Disney stated that masks were required at "All theaters, including theater entrances." That wording has now been changed to "All indoor theaters, including theater entrances."

This might be the right step for Fantasmic? This actually feels like a great opportunity for a handful of experiences... Or am I reading too far into that word change?

I agree. I think that's what it's leaning towards. The article mentioned it currently only applies to the bird show at AK. However, this could pave the way for Indiana Jones, Fantasmic, and Beauty and the Beast stage shows.

Scratching my head about them updating the monorail by adding plastic dividers just in time for them to no longer be needed????

We rode monorail orange when we were at WDW May 9-15th. The dividers were up on all the monorails then. I don't think this is new news.

Yeah as one of those people who has waffled on buying in I'm now firmly on the buying resale at one of the classic resorts if I ever buy DVC. Looks like they're setting up for when the new Disneyland DVC opens up.

Same! We have gone back and forth for a couple years but this solidifies that this next year when we purchase, it will be resale!

I’d be surprised if masks are still required indoors in august but by all means you can still wear yours indoors to protect others even if they lift the requirement by then.
