I started considering a split stay as soon as I heard AKL has plans to open. Very exciting news!!!

Okay... now let's bring on the return of dessert parties! After the excitement I realized... we're going to be in MK the first official night of fireworks return and I can only imagine how crowded the hub will be. Yes, I will gladly pay for a guaranteed spot haha!

I want to enjoy it a little more intimately with my family since it's our fav and been soooo long. And I'll be a mess.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge to Reopen Aug. 26

Walt Disney World has just announced that starting tomorrow, Wednesday, June 16th, they will start accepting bookings for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge for arrivals beginning August 26th

Yaaayyyyy!!! Staying at Kidani in January and I was really hoping all of AKL would be up and running. We haven’t been there in years and it will be so nice to have it all open !!!

I read on a site I can’t link here that restaurants are now using condiment bottles and salt and pepper shakers. Something small but kinda huge right. Lol

There weren't salt and pepper shakers? That seems like something I would have noticed over 2 trips / 20 days, I usually go to town on the salt.

A pp stated they got shakers today for the first time in 12 days.

i know around here at restaurants, if you asked for salt and pepper you were given individual packets or prepackaged salt and pepper containers. My job also removed all condiment bottles and dispensers along with salt and pepper shakers. It’s all indivisible now.

So it sounded legit to me.

Correct. No salt shakers anywhere. If you asked for salt you either got packets or a small amount of salt in a small bowl. This was everywhere on WDW property. My wife and daughter salt everything so we noticed at every single restaurant.

Yes!!! Actual ketchup bottles...I hate those tiny packets.

It's very interesting - I arrive July 9th - so, I was checking my plans as well and "poof" the planning page will not load - everything else on the site is working fine - maybe they are getting ready for something?
I am assuming everyone is locked out of the planning page?
