We saw the China one back in 1993 and he felt very queasy afterwards so we've skipped them ever since. There's already a bunch of attractions he can't do so we don't want to add the movies to the list of things that he has to wait outside while we participate. We tried having him wear a patch years ago but it gave him cottonmouth. He has pretty severe motion-sickness. In fact he has to drive everywhere we go or he gets queasy.

Friendly's used to be good in my area, but they unfortunately declined rapidly and had really bad quality and service issues, and all but one or two here and there went out of business. I used to like them, but the last few times I went were horrible before they mostly closed 10+ years ago

Apparently a lot of people here had great experiences with them though, so maybe it was a local issue.

Not sure where you are, but I'm in CT and there is definitely a reason most of them closed here. Service was ALWAYS horrible, and their food quality went downhill. Ice cream was always good, though.

NY here. Pretty much that exactly.

I worked at Friendly's in college and our supervisor was very strict. We had expectations about exactly how many minutes we had to take an order and bring the food. He ran a very tight ship and we had a great restaurant. Fast-forward years later and any time I was in a Friendly's the wait for food was crazy long. All I could think was "Paul would never have put up with this!" Ice cream was always good though.

On the Friendly's topic, we have three within 20 minutes of my house. We like Friendly's but don't love it. I feel like all three of our local Friendly's are a little run down and could use a good scrub. That said, we have always enjoyed the food there, and think the ice cream is good, but our favorite thing to order from Friendly's is vanilla Coke. Sometimes my DH gets me one on his way home from work as he drives by two of them. No one, not even Beaches and Cream, makes a vanilla Coke as good as Friendly's.

And the same in NJ! But the best was when my wife saw a waitress making a sundae lick the spoon and put it right back in the tub of ice cream to continue making it...that was the last time we ever visited one and it was many years ago.

Love this. Coincidentally, a lot of these elements are very similar to the concept art for the now cancelled Reflections resort. I find this very interesting considering so many on these boards thought that Reflections didn't "fit with the theme of surrounding resorts" and hated the concept art. Now that Wilderness Lodge is taking on those same ideas, I wonder what these people will say?

Just sharing that there is an updated policy on the boards for COVID-related discussions from the admins here. I know @mrsap has been working hard to keep this thread on track already, but thought we all might want to be aware.

😂 saw it earlier this morning and bookmarked it ... wasn’t sure if I should add to Page 1, Post it now or save it in case I needed it later!!!!! You helped decide for me! Thanks!! 🙂
