I haven’t been keeping up so maybe this has been mentioned. The ADR window is showing open 180 days in advance. It gives you an error message if you try to search more than 60 days ahead but wonder if a change is coming.

This is really nerve racking for those of us who are under 180 days but not yet at 60. I’m worried it will just change out of nowhere and I won’t know and then miss everything. .

I get it! I had a panic moment that I had missed something. We may go in October so I hopped on to see what ADRs looked like. I saw all those blue days! It is fixed now but I bet it’s coming. Keep an eye out!

The wait times in Animal Kingdom and really the whole resort have been a dream today... Really hoping these stick it out for when we're there in 3 weeks.View attachment 597437

I know attendance always drops at the end of summer but if those crowd levels stick for the next three weeks it means the virus variants have cratered attendance and you may well find your chosen resort closed again along with some of the recently reopened restaurants and shops.

I don’t see them closing anything, they will ride the few weeks out till the 50th.

Just because this was a very unique day in general with lower crowds, RoTR was a walk on at 8:30pm today. Boarding Group distribution at 1pm ended at 7pm.

I wanted to go this week except for “mandatory in person meetings” so we are there next week. I’m going to be so sad if we miss a “crowd lull window” especially because they just announced those mandatory meetings will now be on zoom……

I have seen a lot of cancellations in various fb groups over the masks. It still really think during the school year the weekdays are gonna be slower , it’s not the same world of pulling kids for vacations and such right now. And no international travel filling in the holes with their different schedules.

Mid august is usually when it typically starts to slow down for a bit as far as crowds are concerned. Between kids going back to school, a tropical storm threat, being closer to all of the 50th celebration, and the change in policy from the end of July they all probably contributed to lower crowds.

I had that happen about a month ago. Then it went right back to 60 days.

It is nerve wracking. We are at 127 days. While I miss being able to make ADRs at 180 days - a LOT - I do worry they will return to 180 and I'll miss the notice. Ah, the things to worry about. LOL

Our ADR list is short, but CRT is on it, and we all know how hard that one tends to be to get. It won't kill our trip to not get it. But we are celebrating a few things - so I'm really hoping we can snag one.

Oh - yes please, please please please - Extended Extra hours for AK (During my actual trip!) would be such icing! I'd definitely switch a park reservation date for that.

I think it's some of both, plus schools back in session down there now, and add two tropical storms to the mix.
