Yeah this is obnoxious. All about dollar signs and could care less about customer experience at this point. This also seems like a great way to take advantage of all the locals who want to be in the parks but can’t buy an AP yet. So hit them twice with this ticket offer and then get them again when AP sales eventually come back.

well a lot of Florida residents avoid summer since it’s so hot and many schools will be back in session by august 10 Ish so it may not be a huge impact

It's honestly better to either:
1. Stay off-site from Disney
2. Go to Universal

Disney isn't getting better. They've gotten so much worse, and they use the pandemic to blanket every excuse. Remember when they furloughed 720/780 entertainers that Disney had? Yeah, those aren't coming back. It's honestly gotten to the point where why go? We plan to cruise a lot more than go to a theme park because of these ridiculous changes that Disney continues to make. They are clearly all about pulling in as much money as possible at the lowest expense ever since Chapek took over.

We were just there and spent time at both Universal and WDW. Universal just opened everything up without the staff to handle it which meant huge lines for every food stand in the parks. To get a Butterbeer you had to wait at least 45 minutes. I'd take Disney's approach of opening slowly as they get the staff over that any day. I know everyone's bashing WDW right now, and I get it, but we were just there and it really wasn't that bad. If you rope drop you can get most of the rides done. We had a wonderful time and absolutely do not regret going. Just some positive thinking for those with upcoming trips to balance out the doom.

‘..on Disney World’s page for the show, you’ll find a statement that says “Enjoy a holiday spectacular when this jolly fireworks display returns in 2021.” Next to the name, it still says “Temporarily Unavailable”, however this could change before the holidays roll around.’
Could Fireworks Come Back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios This Holiday Season?
