The folks on that forum tend to be right which is also why I don't want an announcement bc a lot of them think it's going to be announcing a new and potentially expensive FP system similar to the idea of the Express Pass at Universal.

Honestly, since we leave in 5 days I'm not so sure I want a FastPass announcement... especially if the rumors are true and it's going to be some expensive paid system and no longer free. We've already budgeted our vacation at this point. At the very least, if they announce it hopefully they don't start it right away. Can you imagine having that start while you're in the parks and having to figure it all out the day of if there's big changes? Yikes! No thank you!

I'm hoping for some dessert parties announcements! I don't think a Typhoon Lagoon opening would happen for us by the time we're there but I can dream!

I just hope whatever it is, it isn't at the 60 day mark. My ADR date is in 20 days and don't really want to juggle both of those.

We’re not, but the other forum has been right a lot recently.

The good thing is, just because they have it doesn't mean you have to use it or buy it should it be pay to play.

But it will certainly ruin how efficient the standby line is which if anyone's been following the recent trip reports has actually been pretty good. Molly on All Ears just did a video on wait times and they were usually overestimated on the app even for headliners. My trip is in 5 days which isn't a lot of time to rearrange a vacation budget I've been carefully planning for six months.

Hopefully it's all proven wrong and they just bring it back how it was!

If it's news folks will like, the announcements are typically made earlier in the day. If it's news that may not go down so well, you typically get the Friday late afternoon news dump hoping it gets buried by the weekend. Especially if you drop right before a holiday weekend ... like July 2nd

Trip is in September, so I just assumed that a lot of these items will be back to normal. But it will certainly take the stress off once it's official!
