Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2024 Edition

New Summer Festival for Disneyland Paris?

It's still a rumour, but on DLP Help ******* you can find a logo and a program for next year's Summer festival for Disneyland Paris
Disney Music Festival (quite a simple name) will have 3 components:
- Minnie's Fanfare
Minnie with a band on Main Street
- Moana with drummers bringing Pacific sounds
- Disney Hits Concert
Not much known except it will be immersive and for the whole family.

In the logo below I am going to assume that Stitch is going to join Moana for the Pacific sounds, and that Timon, Daisy & Miguel will be part of the Disney Hits Concert.

I do wonder where this all will take place. I am guessing Moana & drummers on the refurbished Castle Stage and the concert will need a proper theater. I have a feeling that the Lion King Show in the Chapparel Theater might close for this. Other option is either replacing Together (which has just opened) or Mickey and the Magician. It is an option, however, festivals are usually in 1 park. So my money is on the Chapparel theater.

Don't take this the wrong wat but do we really need to post all the pics and text from the URL that is the thread title.
Just click on it.
Just sayin' . . . . . . .

I include the link to give the site credit but I always found it easier to have the information right in the thread as opposed to having to click the link.
We, of course, would appreciate it if y'all shared the links and details from the news stories we write at wdwinfo.com rather than from other unofficial Disney news sites.

Why would I share those links when we can all easily access them right on the page below under the banner that says "Dis News & Updates"? I was just trying to help keep this news thread going but if "unofficial Disney news sites" is no longer acceptable, I'll just scroll on by without contributing.

Don't take it so personally. They're just saying that if the same story has already been covered by wdwinfo, and no extra insight or information is being provided by the other site, why not just post the link to wdwinfo? Support the site that you're using. It's really not that big of an ask, and it was a polite request, not a demand.

It's their (DisBoard's) forum, if they covered a news story they're welcome to post it. If they are going to count on the posters to post (and collect ad revenue from them) then they shouldn't be picky about news posts that don't break the rules. Most likely the people contributing here are posting what comes across their news feeds on their browsers and social media. If we should all just read the news written by DisBoards why bother with this thread at all?

Thank you for putting that so eloquently...I agree if they want their news stories posted here, they are free to post them. I really enjoy posting news stories here and have seen a few stories today (from unofficial Disney sites) that I would normally post but now I don't know if I'm breaking some new rules....

I didn’t see this posted previously so if it was ignore me but two of the lions at animal kingdom are retiring and leaving the park.

I saw that yesterday. I'm sad they are leaving but glad to see they will be introducing new lions into the exhibit. Last year we were fortunate enough to catch the male lion roaring and walking around. So glad we had a chance to see that before he "retires".

"Retires".... ha ha ha... I can't imagine any life for an animal that would be better than life at AK complete with protection, regular meals and full health benefits, 😂
