Ken Page (Oogie Boogie in the Nightmare Before Christmas) has died!

"Ken Page, a stage and screen actor who starred alongside Beyoncé in "Dreamgirls' introduced Broadway audiences to Old Deuteronomy in "Cats" and scared generations of kids as the voice of Oogie Boogie, the villain of the 1993 animated holiday film "The Nightmare Before Christmas," has died. Insiders have been hinting that Dinosaur will close by May but that's just a guess on their part. Truthfully no one knows.

They really shouldn’t close Dinosaur until they get the encanto ride open.

Personal speculation is:
—Chester & Hester, Triceratops Spin & possibly other non dinosaur elements will close Nov/Dec 2024
—Dinosaur will close early/mid 2025
—phase 1 of Pueblo Esperanza (possibly carousal and/or Encanto) will open mid/late 2026 early 2027
—full land open mid/late 2027 early 2028

Walt Disney World Waives Change Fees & Cancellation Fees Due to Hurricane Milton

Due to potential weather impacts to guest travel plans, change and cancellation fees imposed by Disney will be waived for check-in dates of Sunday, 10/6 – Saturday, 10/12.


Walt Disney World Issues First Statement as Milton Strengthens Into A Hurricane

Walt Disney World Resort is currently operating under normal conditions. We are closely monitoring the path of the projected storm as we continue to prioritize the safety of our Guests and Cast Members.


Walt Disney World Blocks New Theme Park Reservations for October 9th as Milton Approaches

Disney Park Pass theme park reservations are no longer available for Wednesday, October 9th at any of the four Walt Disney World theme parks. Theme park reservations were blocked for both Annual Passholders and regular ticket holders who are required to make reservations.

Walt Disney World is still selling 1-day and multi-day tickets for October 9th, but we assume that the four theme parks will be closed that day and possibly Thursday, October 10th as well.


Walt Disney World Begins Restricting New Hotel Reservations as Forecasted Major Hurricane Milton Approaches

When trying to search for hotel rooms this evening, the Walt Disney World website is showing no availability for any dates that include Wednesday, October 9th, or Thursday, October 10th. Other dates are accepting new hotel reservations.

The initial FOMO will subside within a month and within a year expect those walls to go back up..unless more realistic minds prevail with this attempted larceny.

Definitely! I was trying to decide between Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs and Cake Bake Shop (if opened for my December trip), but I don’t need to stress that now. It’s a corn dog all the way.
