Disney News, Discussion & an Element of Fun - 2024 Edition

Disney did say they would start the construction in Fall 2024 but they were extremely unclear as to whether that would include Dinosaur's closure. If I were to guess, MAYBE that means the Boneyard or the carnival games close first?
I hope so, I had to promise my 10 year old we could ride Dinosaur one more time, we go first week in November, ideally I don’t want to book a trip before that…..

I thought the logical place would be in pixar place next to toy story.
There’s no room back there. If you look at Googlemaps, Pixar Place is just a path between the show buildings for MMRR and TSM. Before Toy Story land opened, the TSM entrance was on the right side and it was not a dead end- it exited into Streets of America I believe.

1000023315.jpgthis looks like space. If the entire midway mania building isn't being used they can create room for 1 ride and some theming

A berm isn't a permanent fixture. Look I'm not saying they will put it there I'm just saying it's a possibility.
This berm is a permanent fixture, to maintain the immersion in SWGE.

TSMM building doesn't have space since they built the third track and the little shop inside.

I wouldn't say definitely. This is just speculation.

Both pieces of concept art show the land in two different locations. I do wonder if Disney didn't reveal where it would go during the presentation because either they don't know or that they know we won't like the answer.

Ugh😭

I know the author. He’s a huge Disney fan and even worked at Disney. He’s also a respectable journalist. Granted, he is writing about things he was told anonymously. However, I unfortunately really think it’s goodbye Muppets😭😭😭😭😡

My motto for the parks announcements is “Be careful what you wish for”🙁 Frantically trying to figure out how to do ROA and Muppets before the end of the year.

Yep, if you've been a fan of current Disney long enough then something they change is going to make you upset. With all that supposed space available, they're taking down things that don't benefit the bottom line any longer because it costs them a lot less. They're banking that you'll come back because you love Disney enough to move past what they're replacing. There's only so much of that people are willing to look past.

Epic Universe is looking more and more appealing for our next Florida trip. I can go to Disneyland to get my Disney fix.

OMG, no! I hope he's wrong! Now I know how it feels when people get upset over changes...
The Cars one annoys me the most. Probably because I just don’t like the idea. Monsters is fine, but it seems like they are throwing out the baby frog with the bath water 🙁

Another Disney forum that is full of insiders that have predicted things correctly in the past is saying that even if Muppets is safe and Animation Courtyard goes, Muppets is still earmarked for future development. Aka, down the line it's leaving no matter what.

It really does stink but at the same time Disney as a company has proven that they'll remove whatever attractions they deem fit, even if they're still very popular.
