Disney says Walt Disney World Resort has welcomed the birth of more than 300 animal residents in 2023. The new residents include Cotton-top tamarin twins on Discovery Island.
I didn't realize Discovery Island was used for anything. Every time I go by on the boat, it appears to have been abandoned for years.

They showed this to us at Destination D23, with some conversation from the folks at the studio involved in making it. After the screening, the entire audience was bawling. I'm getting teary-eyed remembering lol. I handed out tissues to all the folks around us at the time.

Of course, that was the most target audience possible, lol. But do watch it when it's available. I know not everyone on here is as big a fan of Disney animation as they are of the parks, but even a casual fan will likely enjoy seeing these characters from different movies interact with each other.

About that news of Disney investing $60 billion for their parks and the 1000 acres of land they have for park expansion, where do you think those acres are in the current resorts? Could I have a map that details what I am searching for?

Thats kind of what I assume also, lol! I have no doubt its good, but you're talking about a group of people who cry when they see the castle for the first time on their 50th trip also. We're a sensitive lot. :rolleyes1

I hope they drop it on Disney+ soon after. We don't have cable, so we won't get to see it otherwise.

Yep, we're a sensitive lot alright. Lol. We gave that short a standing ovation 😆
I would think it'll be on Disney Plus or YouTube after. We also don't have cable.

I could have sworn this was going to be the short before “Wish” this holiday season. Anyone else remember that?

That absolutely was the plan when it was originally announced. My guess is they're putting it on ABC because of a lack of content due to the ongoing strikes (which also might result in "Wish" being delayed until it's able to be promoted by the cast).
