Cosmic Rewind Still Running “Holiday Remix” After Overnight Emergency Prevented Swap Back to Normal Soundtrack at EPCOT

Guests riding Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will still hear the “Holiday Remix” song today after an “emergency issue” prevented Imagineers from swapping the soundtrack following the end of the Festival of the Holidays yesterday. Cast Members did not elaborate on what the “emergency issue” was, but the ride was functioning normally today and yesterday, with the exception of the incorrect soundtrack.

Officially, the Holiday Remix was supposed to end with the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays on December 30th and swap back to normal songs yesterday, December 31st, but the swap back to the normal soundtrack didn’t go as planned and the Holiday Remix is still playing today.

Cast Members said that overnight testing is scheduled again tonight in an attempt to get the normal soundtrack back, but were noncommital on what soundtrack would be available to guests tomorrow, January 2nd. Apparently, it’s not as easy as just flipping a switch between the soundtracks, perhaps because each train has onboard audio and they each need to be independently tested and verified. That said, the work, if it goes as planned, should’ve allowed for an overnight swap.

It hurt to renew, and on top of that I had to pay for Memory Maker when I renewed in November. I think I did get a $20 discount to $79 though.

Good Morning! Extra day off of work today since my birthday fell during our Christmas break. About the only good thing about having a birthday the day after Christmas, LOL!

Marvel Star Jeremy Renner In ‘Critical But Stable’ Condition After Weather-Related Accident

Marvel star Jeremy Renner (“Hawkeye,” “The Avengers”) has been in a weather-related accident while snow plowing and remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition, according to Deadline.

His spokesperson said that Renner has injuries “suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today.” Deadline noted that Renner had been airlifted to the hospital and “his family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”

Fantasmic May Move to Off-Season Performance Schedule Starting January 17th

Since its return in early November 2022, Disney has scheduled two performances per night to allow more opportunities for guests to watch the popular nighttime show. Currently, two performances per night are scheduled through January 16, 2023, but the schedule shows just one show per night on weekdays for the second half of January. Here’s a look at the current schedule:

• January 1-16: 8pm, 9:30pm
• January 17-20: 8pm
• January 21-23: 8pm, 9:30pm
• January 24-27: 8pm
• January 28: 8pm, 9:30pm
• January 29 – March 11: 8pm

A kitchen fire resulted in the evacuation of guests from the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort this evening. Videos and photos posted to social media showed guests’ experience of the evacuation, including a short video from Jon Sykes on Facebook. In the short video, a kitchen fire can be seen in the open kitchen at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. As Cast Members identified the fire, guests were asked to evacuate the restaurant and other areas of the resort.
