Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure Possibly Reopening on June 3​

Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land at Disney California Adventure may reopen on Friday, June 3.

The Disneyland app confirms Radiator Springs Racers will remain closed today and tomorrow.

However, Radiator Springs Racers is not listed among closed attractions starting on Friday, June 3. Guests can access this list on the Park Hours & Info page of the Disneyland app.

It is possible Disney will end up keeping Radiator Springs Racers closed through Friday but just have not updated the app. They have not officially announced a reopening date. Stay tuned to Disneyland News Today for updates.

Festival of Fantasy Showtimes Changed for Two Dates in June

Disney has made some operational adjustments for the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom on two dates in June. The reason for the changes is currently unknown, and the change is only by an hour for both performances on the dates in question.

Here are the changes:

Tuesday, June 7

• 12pm performance moved to 1pm
• 3pm performance moved to 4pm

Monday, June 13

• 12pm performance moved to 1pm
• 3pm performance moved to 4pm

This might have been asked before, but is Epcot doing their 4th of July show this year? I know Magic Kingdom is the 3rd and the 4th. We are in the parks on the 3rd and were thinking if there is no special show at Epcot it might not be a bad plan to go over there. Again, sorry if this has already been discussed!

Brightline Receives $15.8 Million Federal Grant for Central Florida Rail Project Connecting MCO, Disney Springs, and Tampa

The grant award will support the preliminary engineering activities and environmental approvals required to construct an intercity passenger rail system between Orlando International Airport and Tampa. The activities will include completing 15 percent and 30 percent engineering design for a completely grade-separated, mostly double-tracked railway built within the right-of-way of the I-4 median and other existing transportation corridors.

Note that only the headline and Blog Mickey’s text mention DS. The official announcement and statement by public officials just uses generic terms such as “our theme parks.” So far as I know, the actual route from MCO to Tampa, i.e. whether it will roughly follow 417 to DS or 528 to the UOR area, is still in dispute.

Disney World Theme Parks at Capacity Today and Tomorrow

According to the Disney Park Pass calendar, all four Walt Disney World theme parks are at capacity for all ticket types on June 2nd and 3rd. As of publish time, availability increases for Annual Pass holders starting this weekend and into next week. Park reservations remain limited for most dates this month for regular ticket holders and resort guests.

From June 2 through July 13, 2022, Disney Vacation Club is offering an Addiitonal Incentive Credit for both first-time buyers and existing members adding-on. Most noteworthy are the new buyer rates for Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. This limited-time incentive more than doubles the savings at most purchase levels, resulting in lower prices than when resort sales launched on March 31, 2022.

After a fair amount of silence on the project, actress Anika Noni Rose (who voices Tiana in The Princess and the Frog) announced today on Live with Ryan and Kelly that Disney plans to open the Splash Mountain replacement attraction at Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom in 2024.

Disney hasn’t announced a closing date for the classic Splash Mountain at either park, but it was suspected that the information was coming at the D23 Expo 2022 in September.

Disney hasn’t announced a closing date for the classic Splash Mountain at either park, but it was suspected that the information was coming at the D23 Expo 2022 in September.

I will believe it when I see it. With how slow they do things, I'm expecting Epic Universe to open before this happens.

This seems kind of soon TBH. I assumed this would open way later than 2024 seeing as how much work would have to be done to have both versions rethemed (as of right now the version in Tokyo is staying Splash). I'm not opposed to the retheme if it's done well but I hope this doesn't end up being screen based or anything like that.
