does anyone know if previously with Minnie Vans if you reserved one from MCO to your Disney resort, would they stop at the grocery store?? We used one from WL to Contemporary in a down pour but that's all..

I agree that they are difficult to carry around, but people absolutely take them home as collectibles. Some of them are pretty cool. The only one I have was a TIE Fighter given at the Star Wars Galactic Desert Party. I was expecting the Chewbacca Stein, but they subbed it out. Both are nice though!

OK thanks. That's what I was mostly wondering. So maybe some folks collect as many as they can get, and some like when one comes out they find one they want.

Thought maybe it was free popcorn refills at least-and maybe it is. But I can't think of any design I would be willing to carry around and all the way back home, but that's just us-it appears popular.

I have a purple cauldron and a Jack Skellington that both light up and I use them as Halloween decorations.
The ones I have are all Halloween related and I use them as decorations. Bulky to store, but light at least.

I really like the 50th aspect of this one - especially since they had almost NO 50th merchandise when I was there in december!! (soap dispenser was about it - depressing!)

I believe they started in the Japanese parks, where flavored popcorn is a huge thing. The guests there also love to collect stuff - I never saw so many people with popcorn buckets! Some cool ones I would ask about, but they were from a few years ago and no longer available. It's like a badge of honor!

The buckets do not come with free refills, but it is a reduced price. They actually don't even put hte popcorn in the bucket! You can do it yourself though. Some are made to jsut hodl the box too.

It would be cool if you could trade one in at Guest Services, for a Length of Stay Card that allows you plastic straws instead.

Just toss it right in the hopper.

The refill for popcorn is less than just buying a box. I generally the bucket because $ wise it makes sense if I'm there long enough. But I don't carry it around all the time. I don't eat the whole thing so I'll put it in a gallon Ziploc back in my room which fits in my bag better. Then when I'm ready for more I'll take the bucket with me. And I normally hook the bucket handle on my crossbody bag so it's not a huge deal to have.

Would love the skyliner bucket but doubt it'll still be there when I go again next year.

Buying a bucket is not the same as buying popcorn, you can buy popcorn in a cardboard container. Those that buy the buckets do so because they want the bucket, the popcorn is extra xD.

Wow seems like some Florida politicians are declaring “open season” on Disney...now there are politicians proposing changes to copy right laws and to “no fly zone” laws ....very sad
It’s not even just Florida politicians! It’s politicians from other states now - that have no business in Florida politics!

We got Darth Vader steins, which we could barely get home in our carry-on luggage. I don’t know what we would have done if they had given us TIE Fighter popcorn buckets!
