Disney movies represented at Disneyland and DCA

That's one of my favorites from childhood! (and Darby O'Gill and the Little People). Nothing in DL that i've seen on either of those........

I didn't think there was..he is going to be so disappointed! Guess it is an excuse for me to show him more Disney!

I would say character meet and greets definitely count!
In that case, you can get a fair number of additional movies:
  • Princess and the Frog = Tiana (NOS).
  • Nightmare Before Christmas = Jack Skellington and Haunted Mansion Holiday from Halloween through New Year.
  • The Incredibles = Mr. Incredible, Frozone (DCA)
  • Brave = Merida (Princess Fantasy Faire)
  • Mulan = Mulan (Front of the Park, Occasionally)
  • Pocahontas = Meeko (Storyteller's Breakfast)
  • Brother Bear = Koda and Kenai (Storyteller's Breakfast)
  • 101 Dalmations = Cruella (Town Square)
Fantasia also is represented by Sorcerer Mickey (there is a drawing of him on the outside of the Animation Academy building in DCA).

Mary Poppins is also represented by the Jolly Holiday Bakery. Plus Mary Poppins and Bert occasionally meet guests on Main Street.

WALL*E needs some representation, that's for darn sure.

On that note, I've always been surprised that so few of what are considered to be the best Pixar movies don't have representation. Up, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, WALL*E

There is the Wilderness Explorers activity area in DCA which would cover Up (it's also where the Up characters meet).

The Incredibles are in the pixar parada in DCA. Wall-E was in WOC before it changed

So many movies, so little space. To add something, you have to take something away, which causes more refurbs, closures, longer lines, and angry customers. I do like this "nod" idea, though (e.g. the Tangled wanted poster). I think it would be an excellent project for a few imagineers to search the parks for opportunities to insert artistic nods to movies in unexpected places, like corridors, walls, "secret" walkways, and rest areas.

I think there is plenty of space for the occassional carved figure, etc. More obvious "nods". But I do love the more subtle nods as well - like what you're talking about. Or possibly even more obscure, along the lines of some of the hidden mickeys.

I also thought Wall-e should have something in tomorrowland. The movie takes place in the future!

The theater that shows previews (formerly captain eo) could be used for a wall-e attraction.

The song from Wreck-It Ralph is sort of used in Paint the Night -- does that count?

Some more used-to-haves: Fix-it Felix video arcade games in Starcade, and the Bambi clip to voice over in Ursula's Grotto (I really miss that part of the Sorceror's Workshop :worried:.)

Edited to add another song reference -- "Married Life" from Up is on the Main Street soundtrack.

I have a picture of my niece in 2005 in front of a wall inset with a picture from Hercules. I have absolutely no idea where in the park it was, but it was in Disneyland.

Does anyone remember the "Dancing With Disney Stars" event at DCA in 2013? It had guests dancing and interacting with various Disney characters but alot of them are rare and hardly come out in Disneyland. Such as Clara Cluck,Clarice from Two Chips And A Miss, and Marie from The Aristocats. I wish these characters would come out again in Disneyland someday. Especially since Clara Cluck and Marie are spotted in WDW these days.

Great link (which in turn had some great links)!
So, if I understand correctly, the following movies have NO representation in Disneyland and DCA (besides merchandise):

Bambi, Saludos Amigos, Make Mine Music, Fun and Fancy Free, Melody Time, Lady and the Tramp, The Aristocats, Robin Hood, The Rescuers, The Fox and the Hound, The Black Cauldron, The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver & Company, The Rescuers Down Under, Fantasia 2000, The Emperor's New Groove, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet, Home on the Range, Chicken Little, Meet the Robinsons, WALL-E, Bolt, Wreck-It Ralph, Monsters University, Big Hero 6

Some of them I'm not surprised, but I am surprised that the one's in Bold aren't represented anywhere. It seems to be that these are pretty iconic and deserving of a carving somewhere or something.
I remember the characters from The Rescuers we're at Disneyland from the late 70's - early 90's when the sequel came out.
