Hi Everyone,

We are excited to go to Los Angeles in April and have enough points collected for the Disney Movie Rewards Radio Disney Behind the Scene's tour. Has anyone ever done that?

Hi Everyone,

We are excited to go to Los Angeles in April and have enough points collected for the Disney Movie Rewards Radio Disney Behind the Scene's tour. Has anyone ever done that?

We redeemed that award in the beginning of January, but have to warn you. You have to provide proofs of purchase on every single Blu-ray and DVD that you claimed points on. And this is not an easy task. It took me about two days to work on it and am just about to ship it back to DMR for their prize verification. I was able to track down about 90% of the points/proofs and provided them a letter on the missing proofs. About 80% of the missing 10% of points are from DVDs that my daughters have misplaced or gotten rid of and upgraded them to Blu-ray. The other 20% are from either CDs or Blu-rays/DVDs that the packaging did not contain proofs. They make it very hard for you on these big ticket items.

Will let you know the results after shipping it out to them tomorrow.

Oh, I did speak to them when I received the letter and they understood that I might have had problems on the old DVDs, and they said get as much as you can. I believe I provided them with way more than 15000 points worth of proofs (I was close to 20000 before redeeming them for the tour).

I just heard that my award was approved and I thought I understood from the lady on the phone that she was just communicating with someone from Ontario regarding their award. I bet that was you!

Now, did you find out if you were able to get the date that you need for your tour?

You are right... it was us and it was "Susan" we just spoke to... We have a very narrow window when we are there - like 4 days in April and we are really hoping she is able to accommodate our date for the tour.

My husband sent in all the tags off the dvd's he could find, but then discovered a couple he had forgotten..

One would think they would have sent out a list of the names of the movies to make it easier.

My husband doubts that they actually go through each tag and count them... but if they want to spend the time doing so... they can be our guest...

I am assuming that if you get a call regarding the date then this is s confirmed tour... just need the date verified.

Here's crossing our fingers....

If you spoke to Susan, then you have the reward! It was a big hassle to cut out all the proofs, but they were rather quick in coming back with an answer as soon as they received it (the same day). BTW, if you went to the Disney Movie Rewards website, there was a way to print out your entire history of redeeming points. That is what I did and it was a big help (I just taped a proof right next to the points that I redeemed). Anything that I could not come up with (which was about 8 DVDs), I just provided them with an explanation in a cover letter that I attached.

Susan is the one that coordinates the tour and, if I understood her correctly, is someone that goes with you.

We are a bit more flexible in our dates since we live about 30 minutes north of the Disney studios. We are going to give her a couple of dates in April that are within my two daughters' Spring Break schedule, and also provide her with some dates in the summer if that does not work out.

Good luck and keep me posted.
