Disney Movie Club Denied

I signed up through SR (I think) for the Disney movie club. DH had a previous account which we cancelled. We didn't want it anymore. Well a few days later, the kids wanted more movies, so we ended up signing up for it again. (only the 2nd time we signed up through an award program). This was May 3. Yesterday I got a letter in the mail stating that we already had an active account and could not have another active account. Has this happened to anyone else? Thought about calling them, but I don't know....

Has not happened to me, but I do know that most of these clubs will only give credit through GPT sites if you are a new member. I would just cut your losses and order through your husband's account if in fact it it still active.
 
OMG...the same thing happened to me :eek: I haven't had an account with them in like 3 years or more. :confused3 very strange............................
 
I just got off the phone with the Disney club. They said it is perfectly fine to cancel and then to sign up again later. So she just "fixed" everything for me. Now I have to go back and resign up. When I signed up through SR, I did not know I was not suppose to if I had a previous account. It did not say anthing like that on the offer, did it? I usually look very closely at that sort of thing. I do NOT like cheating anyone! I feel bad now....

no i never saw anything pertaining to a previous account. like I said mine was 3 years or more ago which I fullfilled commitment than canceled............
 
I got the same letter. The problem with mine is that the old account was for my roommate that hasn't lived here in 3 years. They told me that I could only have one account per household. They said that because she didnt fulfill her last committment they wouldn't let ME open a new account. Crappy! I let Tricia know about it in case they take back my credits. I dont really care about the account because I usually order new movies through the store so I can get the lithographs. I was just hoping to rebuy some of the older movies that are all scatched up now. Oh well.
 
I also posed the question on SR forum. I just cashed out, so I don't have any money in my acct. Well, I just cashed out for my final $10, hoping it would get here by our trip, but told her to keep it if the credit will be taken away. I went ahead and signed up AGAIN, but not through an award site. I do not know why it would take almost 1 1/2 months for them to deny your membership. I kept wondering why my movies hadn't come yet.....

Well I don't know. I had an account (not through a rewards site), my DH opened an account (not through a rewards site) to the SAME address, both of the accounts were active at the same time! Then when I started doing the rewards stuff I opened another account to our home address with no problem!!
