So, I have an iPhone...iTunes Aus doesn't have DMM - says we have to get it from the US store....but the US store won't sell it to me (its free!) because I have an Australian account.

So, has any iPhone using Aussie found a way around this? I'm getting an AT&T SIM card in the states... Will that fix the issue?

Or, is there another app that we Southerners use?

I made a second iTunes account using my other email address and a friends US residential address and just flick between the two accounts when downloading or updating apps.

I thought My Disney Experience was a replacement for DMM? It's available in the Australian store if that helps.

It is.

But whether you want to use it or not all depends on whether you have been speaking/checking out that thread of AussieKaren's or not.

I've found MyDisneyExperience to be pretty awesome so far. The proof will come when I get there and find out if all my tickets, FP+, ADRs and plans have gone up in a puff of smoke into the ethernet.

AussieCaribou - If you don't have a friendly US address to use, when you are in the US. I believe that you can head into an Apple store and ask them to set you up with a US iTunes account. If you do that, don't forget to come home with US iTunes cards.

The other thing you can do is change your address on your iTunes account if you have used a credit card. Download the app you want and then change your address back to your Aus address.

That is a great idea! Can you still buy with Australian itunes, or do you need a US itunes card?

As far as I know it only works for unpaid apps. I haven't tried to purchase apps that cost anything.
