Perhaps a silly question, but is there an answer?

My wife and I have seen Lights-Motors-Action, Star Tours and Honey, I Shrunk The Kids Movie Adventure and don't wish to see them again.

With all the other rides and shows to see, I just don't think we will be in the park from opening time to closing time, unless, you know different.

What are must's? and what are no go's?.

In MGM Studios in Paris, we only spent four-fives hours there, although it is slightly smaller.

must is Fantasmic, and the stars and motor cars parade..........

also, we love the great movie ride, and little mermaid........

tower of terror

indiana jones

Gosh, I hope so! :)

My DH and I are planning to spend the entire day at MGM-we'll be there for the opening and can't wait for Fantasmic that night.

What we're doing though is getting there for the opening, having breakfast a couple hours later at Spoodles, and then going back to the park for the afternoon.

Good luck and have fun!

Sandy Bo Bandy :)

Thanks for the info, the plan now is to take it easy and chill out and of course ride 'The Rock'N'Roll Rollercoaster' several times - although, it's different to that of the one in Euro Disney in regards to a small number of loops.

Is that right or wrong?

Beauty and the Beast
Rock -n- Roller Coaster
The Muppets in 4D
Lots of characters from Toy Story, Incredibles
Backlot Tour
Animation Tour
Shopping!!

Honey, I shrunk the Audience is at Epcot, I believe.

We spend a whole day there because it is DS favorite park. If it were just me and DH we would probably spend half a day. DD does not like MGM at all.

To be quite honest I dont rememeber the last time we've spent a whole day in MGM....

If you take your time, even without Lights-Motors-Action and Star Tour you could spend a whole day in MGM. There is a lot of good street entertainment to watch.

I believe that rocken roller coaster has the same layout in Paris and Florida. But the theme is very different. Florida is the ride to the show. Paris is the show.

MGM is a park that has lots of good shows, and even if you stayed all day it would be tough to see them all. The shows take up more time than rides. I think they have some great dining options also. Plus RnR, and ToT are E-ticket rides, and can have long wait times.

MGM is one of the parks that I just enjoy *sitting* around. On a park bench, whateve.r I just love the atmosphere. I can't begin to explain it, but I love it.

And there's plenty to do. It's perfect for a day-long visit.

The animation tour is really good and my DH and I enjoy going to the character drawing class and have gone more than once in a day at MGM.

We worked hard this trip to try & find the wonderful in this park that so many others here enjoy. We did enjoy B&B & Fantasmic very much, but DH & I just talked about possibly skipping MGM on our next trip.

Me either. There's more to do during Star Wars weekends, but other than that, if you've been there multiple times it's tough to spend a whole day there anymore. To first-timers and newbies, they could easily do it, but it's tougher for many grizzled Disney vets. ;)

You can spend a whole day at the park. I would say that most of your day would be spent watching shows. MGM (IMO) is very ride poor. Plan on sitting in theatres and being entertained.

My family is going to spend 2 days at MGM in Dec. There is lots to do like watch the little mermaid, beauty and the beast, see the backlot tour, indiana jones, tower of terror, muppetvision and lots more. We are also going to see the osborne lights and fantasmic using the dinner package too. Since we like to sleep in late, I figured in two days into our trip for each park plus a rest day. I think you could find plenty to do to occupy your day.

I rarely spend one whole day in any park, because I like to take a midday break and often go to a different park afterwards. Having said that, depending on how good your timing is getting to the shows at MGM - you could esaily spend a day there. Too bad Who Wants To Be a Millionaire closed. :(

Don't forget to take some time to hang around Hollywood Blvd and Sunset Blvd to catch Streetmosphere skits. I love those guys!
