Has anyone ever purchased a Disney mattress? We loved the beds at BWI and havd thought about it but not sure? Thx

So funny you asked this! I have called Disney REsort collection AND Sealy hospitality. i love the yc mattresses and per disney resort it is the Sealy Encore but can either be plush or pillow top. I called the club level concierge and they are going to personally go into the room I had two weeks ago to see the mattress topfor me to verify for sure which it is. i then call sealy hopsitalty to see their take on the mattress. It is warrented for 10 years but SEaly does admit that normally a hotel mattress is not built THAT great however b/c this is built just for disney, yes it is built great and what I slept on is what I would get for sure. SO I priced it out and per resort collecction people i would pay no tax since it crosses state line. I think the price is pretty good. I paid 3k for a sterns and foster 11 years ago that I am not that thrilled with....So I am awaiting to hear the mattress top answer and I do plan to order sometime this year...

I fell in love with the pillows at BC on our first visit in 2010. I did some searches on here and found a post that referred to Beyond Down by Carpenter, which was not the Slumber Gel Pillow by Wamsutta in the Disney brochure. I found the Beyond Down pillows at Belk in NC and love, love them. I believe that these were the ones on the beds in 2010. So, if you can find those in your area, I think they're worth a try!

Thanks for the info on the YC.....I am looking forward to hearing which model your actual bed was! When I called the Disney Resort Collection # 2 years ago, they said that the mattresses were designed for Disney and people who walk 7-10 miles a day----knowing that a good night's sleep was needed by their visitors, esp if they were to go back out each day and enjoy the parks. (and spend money....tee hee)
I don't remember a pillow top on the mattress, but they said that the deluxe properties have a different mattress than the mods and the values? I know that while not LUXURIOUS, we slept like babies and in addition loved the bedding! We haven't bought a new mattress yet and keep coming back to that one!!! Guess we will just have to plan a trip to BWI to try them out again!

i suspect you'll find that the biggest issue about the nicer disney mattresses is that they replace the mattresses more often than you would prefer to...

Not sure about the mattresses, but you can still purchase the Wamsutta gel/down pillows from Macy's. I just bought two for $20 each as the ones I had are getting old. These are the ones originally in the Disney Resort collection catalog.

Love the pillows!!!! Not that crazy about the mattresses, though they are better than the average hotel (I'm temperpedic spoiled at home)....

...Now those mattresses at Swan and Dolphin are just exquisite IMO..

Swan and Dolphin mattresses...just "Heavenly." We bought one for our house!

all the Deluxe resort mattresses are Encore Plush except for the Grand Floridian and they are Pillowtop.

The CL rooms might be pillowtop but regular rooms are Encore Plush

Swan is a Westin hotel and Dolphin is Sheraton. They both have the heavenly beds.

Disney says they are phasing out the current bedding and getting a new line soon, so stock is very limited. Does anyone know who their duvet inserts were made by? LOVED them as they were so heavy and we love a heavy blanket/comforter? Any help is appreciated.

This same exact thing happened to me in 2008. I was assured that the pillows would be exacted the same, but they weren't even close. I was so disappointed.
