I am not sure if this is the right board for this question. We will be using DME for the first time this January. What will I get from Disney? Luggage tags? Bus tickets? How does the travel time, to the resort, compare to that of renting a car? My DD will be flying in for one day but not staying overnight, can she ride the bus? Thanks for any help, Rob

DME is two things -- a free ride from the airport to your resort, and a service that transports your luggage to your resort separate from you. You'll get luggage tags made of yellow sticky-back paper, that you'll put onto the handle of each piece of luggage you'll check. After you check it in at your home airport, you won't see it again until it "magically appears" in your resort room. When you fly into MCO, you bypass baggage claim and go right to the DME counter, and then board your bus (you'll have a voucher that the driver will scan).

The amount of time it takes to get to your resort varies. Some people, like me, got there very fast, fast enough to rival having to wait at baggage claim and then go through the rental process and then drive to the resort.

If your daughter is not named in the room reservation, she will not be able to ride the bus for free.
