Not sure if this is the correct forum or if I should go to the cruise line forum?

My mother in law is thinking about joining us in October on the Disney Magic to the western Carribean and I had some question for someone that may have done it before. She will probably require an electric scooter to get around. I have seen information that leads me to believe that Castaway Cay is fairly accessible, but I had questions about key West, Cozumel and Grand Cayman. Does the ship actually dock at these locations, or do you have to take a tender to the port? If it doesn't dock, how accessible is it to actually get ashore? Can you take the scooter with you? Also on the ship are there any rooms that have "walk-in" showers?

Thanks,
Mark

Hi and :welcome: to disABILTIES!

I can't help your with the Western cruise because I took the Eastern and we had to skip CC (minor thing called a Hurricane). However, if you go to the "disABILITIES FAQ" and look at Page 13 you will see my review of one of the accessible cabins.

Either look for the FAQ near the top of the threads list or follow the link in my signature.

I've read through the FAQ which was VERY helpful. I think that she would be fine even in a standard room. Our main concern is whether or not it would be practical to leave the boat at Cozumel and Grand Cayman.
