We are not booked yet, but I am in the process of cashing in a bond and if the IGT rates are still available when the money is in my account, I will book this cruise. We are Corinna and Graham and live in Manchester, UK. This would be our 9th cruise. The Magic always had a special place in my heart, but we have not actually been on her since the Westbound Transatlantic in 2010. Since then we have been sailing on the Wonder as she had the more interesting itineraries. The two cruises that we have currently booked are on the Wonder, too.

My birthday is on November 14th and I would love to spend my birthday on the Magic. It is even better that the Magic is in Costa Maya on this day. Seeing the Mayan ruins has been on my bucket list forever.

I am hoping that Pirate Night will be on the Costa Maya day. We do not do Pirate Night and I am really hoping for a birthday dinner at Palo.

Thanks for the welcome. Let's hope everything works out. I would not be opposed to that birthday drink. I need to figure out again where the best place is on the Magic to get a drink. On the Wonder, I love to hang out at the Outlook Cafe, but unfortunately that does not exist on the Magic.

Do they offer Palo Brunch on the Costa Maya day? I have been on a number of cruises where there was a late arrival and they did offer Brunch.

Our favourite Palo meal used to be the tea, but unfortunately this was discontinued. I love the Brunch, too, but I prefer the dinner. It also gives me the excuse to pack an additional evening gown. I love to dress up.

Welcome Zbkurtz! Wonderful to have you aboard! Here is a link to hopefully fill you in on the FE's. We don't have a volunteer yet on who's coordinating that aspect, but I'm sure someone will step up to the plate soon.

Hi Zbkurtz - we live in Edmond Oklahoma - so wanted to say hi to our fellow Okies Are y'all driving down? I think we will drive down early Friday a.m. then sightsee around Galveston - staying at the Hilton on the seawall.

You guys should join the fish extender exchange too!

It is official, we will be joining you. Something prompted me to look for Interline rates today and it would have been rude not to book the cruise at those prices, especially as the gratuities are already included. We narrowly missed out on a Veranda, but got an Ocean view. Normally we sail in inside cabins.

I managed to get Palo Brunch on the second sea day and Palo Dinner on my birthday. I booked the Adult Only Departure to the Mayan ruins at Costa Maya. DH is not interested in those, but was all over a bike and clear bottom kayak tour that is also in Costa Maya. In Grand Cayman we will just try to find a beach and at Cozumel, we are probably heading for Chankanaab National Park. We have been there before and loved it.

I'm not sure I would be the best person to do that. I am so disorganized. I have great ideas but lack follow through. If however no one else can do it I can. Just don't expect too much. Our last cruise we had an organized person who put together a good route to get to everyone's room yeah I wouldn't be doing that

Just a quick update for our group, my step-father has decided he can't come along on the trip, so it will be just 5 of us in our cabin. (Me, DH, DM, DS (7), DD (almost 2))

We do want to do the FE, although we're not currently on the list.

I'm happy to send whomever ends up organizing our names and cabin info, I just didn't want to post private info on a public board.

This is our first Disney cruise, and we're really excited. I've actually bought a costume for pirate night for me and my daughter... And a couple of pieces I'm hoping to talk my mom into wearing. DS already has a pirate costume, bought for Halloween, which he refuses to wear since he's decided pirates are bad. I'm trying to talk him into it for pictures, but so far, he's uninterested. Hmm, more like flat out rebellious. DH has surprised me by asking what I'm getting him to wear.

I spent a large part of the afternoon when I should have been doing productive things looking at the FB page for fish extenders. Got lots of cute ideas now to figure out what to do and what my merger craft skills will allow.

Just curious, don't mean to pry but -- gratuities are included in interline rates?? Wow!

I can't complain about the rate we got (military). This is the first time we have been able to take advantage of a military rate while cruising, but Disney has been very kind to us w/ticket and resort discounts. This rate was just too incredible for us to pass up (as you said, it would have been downright rude not to take this cruise!). And this will be our first time EVER in a verandah!

We are also going to the ruins at Costa Maya, but my mom has somewhat limited mobility (not in a wheelchair yet, thankfully), so I went ahead and booked with a local company that got really good reviews on Cruise Critic/Tripadvisor and they said they would even bring a chair for us just in case.

We may leave her on board in GC bc she has been there before and we are thinking of going snorkeling w the rays and it would be no fun for her to sit in the boat and wait for us. And probably no fun to deal w the tender, either.
