No Gonzo for me, in either game. When I went to bed last night it would take me 584 gems in my Windows game. So I figured, with two drops in the morning, maybe I could get enough to drop it below 500. Annoying, but similar to another Premium character, and it's Gonzo. But after the first drop, I realized the even ends in 2 hours, and not the 4 hours I was expecting. I got zero drops overnight, so still 584 gems, which is more than I'm willing to spend. I'm going back to bed, and no way was I setting an alarm to use skips to finish another collection right before it ends. So I leveled up the other characters that were ready instead, so now it would more than 584 gems because of not having the currency.

Sorry to hear you won’t get Gonzo. I got him, but did not get Big Bad Wolf in last event. The drops have been slow the last two days. It took me until this morning to get Gonzo to Level 2. It makes no sense how they do things. I am also leveling the other Muppets characters with leftover EC.

I spent 120 gems to get Gonzo and leveled up 3 characters that were ready to level up, and used time skips to finish them before event ended.

I picked a chest for the event and quickly saw that one of the requirements is spending 100 gems?! Seriously, Gameloft? Sigh….

I ended up spending under 200 for Gonzo, which I was OK with. But I still am not happy that the game basically makes it impossible to fairly earn the last character at this point.

I used gems to purchase the last 4 hats, but I’ve just realized now that I have no way to collect his hats to level him up. The tokens to enchant the buildings are behind a pay wall

well the Christmas chest is a joke this year. Not surprising, I guess with what they have been doing across the board.

My ios game only has 150 gems, but my Windows has a few not very desirable characters. I don't remember what the Christmas chest usually has. I think the gems are the same maybe?

ETA: I went back and looked at last year. It looks like the characters were at least decent... Captain Hook, Jack Sparrow, Scrooge McDuck at least. And someone got 250 gems! This year, and only in Windows in which I have fewer characters, my possible wins will be Vanellope, Raya and Shank. Meh. I guess I will hope for Raya.

P.S. Hey Interns, if you are going to apply inflation to the game in so many ways, you can at least up the gems in the chest or keep them the same. Bah Humbug to you too.

Historically (and by that I mean every single Christmas ever in this game) - the chest had the permanent content premium characters and permanent content premium attractions. So, you had a chance at a 500 or more gem character, all with equal odds. Over the years, back before I lost all of my progress, I got the Tiki Room, Rex, others. Last year, I got the Ringmaster from Dumbo. This year, I have a 31% chance at the White Rabbit from Alice and like a 0.57 chance at the Red Queen.... Not quite the same thing.

And why Gameloft? Was being generous at Christmas really that costly to you? Will this make you more money? I very much doubt it.

I too was disappointed to find that nothing for Xmas except 150 gems. This after the dreamland nonsense requiring me to spend 100 gems? The odds of winning any of the characters are less than 5% anyway.

I was watching the two ads every day to earn gems, hoping like hell they will at least offer a huge selection of the half off chests New Years Day. They have done this practically every year that I remember. Half off, so I blow whatever I have on them for the small chance of earning a character or two. Last year I won a few, which lead to more content, more reason to play daily so that I can level up these new characters, all while being flooded with more and more ads along the way. But a part of me feels like they won’t even do that this year either.

I don’t know, maybe they’ll surprise us and give us what we want. After all, I swear they changed the aristocrat calendar chest. We had it as part of the seasonal and calendar. I saw the odds, and figured it was pretty high for at least two of the characters. …by the time the aristocrat sub story event started, the odds were severely reduced on both, so, big surprise, I didn’t win any new characters.

So hopefully after the update we will see characters in the possible rewards. I don’t have Archimedes in either game, so it seems like I should at least see him.

In other news, I was planning on buying the cheapest to me Premium character to complete the “spend 100 gems” task, also to remove him from a potential Christmas chest gift. I decided to still do that in IOS. Which turned out to be Flash. I had selected Turning Red chests, because they were the only one that had a character in them for me. I did get Mei Li from the

Right now, the blue ribbon chest has WIR, Alice and Last Dragon characters. If you just have gems, you must have all 15 available characters. Now, they are adding three possible premium characters (with I'm sure, very small odds to get), and a number of regular event (not premium) attractions. So, I will get something that I could get in a LC, not something special (as with every past Christmas). But if you already have all of these attractions and the 15 regular WIR, Alice or Last Dragon characters - you maybe will have decent odds at one of the three premium characters.

and to the person a few above - yes, they did change every LC chest odds. Before, if you had two things in the common level, they had the same odds. Now, decorations and concessions have much higher odds than the attractions and characters in the same level. And each time that they "add" a trophy to the LC - that is when they mess with the odds. So, right now, the Incredibles still has the old odds, but come tomorrow, it will be the new, less favorable odds to get anything good/helpful. (Just another example of socking it to all the players.)

iOS update is out...can't wait to see what doesn't work (cuz we all know something goes sideways every update day).
