Not sure if you know this but MK has the christmas party that evening and those tickets include park admission for about $63 adult and $57 child. Party starts at 7 and goes to midnight but you can enter the park starting around 4.

Whoa! I wish I had known this, I would have done MK pre-instead of post-cruise. What a great way to start vacation!

I actually just made our very last reservation of the trip, we're officially staying at CIS at port pre-cruise. Got two rooms at the "Sinderelly" Priceline deal of $65. (Thanks for the tip!!)

I've been thinking about packing more and more lately. Although my "packing" has been more like "shopping" and placing the new stuff in one place in our closet.

Oh yes, p.b. and banana is a classic. I've also been known to eat fried egg sandwiches. I dunno, these all seemed normal when I was growing up. We didn't often have "lunch meat."

Yup! Same boat here, only our "lunch meat" was potted meat. I don't even WANT to know what was in that stuff. (Spam was also sometimes on the menu...)

Just had a fried egg sandwich this morning! Yum! I remember having some lunch meat growing up (bologna and salami), but sandwiches were also made with leftovers.

It has some special events including hot chocolate and cookies, most of the rides are open and the lines should be lower. We will be there and I think Lauren too not sure if any others are planning on going or not.

I didn't know the Christmas party tickets include admission. I may have to re-think my plan. Right now we are flying in on Thursday evening and staying at AKL, but this may change (the hotel, not the airline tickets). DD wants to go to Ep-a-cot on Friday to see Mulan. (Score, since it's my favorite park.) I was going to go to DTD since I've never been, but I'll think about the Christmas party instead.

Thanks for the info about the MK party. It is so much cheaper to pay for those tickets than to pay an admission to the park and only have it until 7 pm when the MK party starts. I just need to decide where to stay on Friday night. We are leaning towards WL but haven't been to Disney World since 1997.

Hi Guys, I'm so sorry but we are going to have to change our cruise dates! I hope this is not too much of an inconvenience for the FE group. My husband had a client meeting come up for that week,and has to be there. We always purchase insurance through Disney because we know that we may have to change dates at the last minute. If you purchase insurance through them, Disney will give you a credit that you can apply to another cruise. Actually this is the first time we have had to switch dates, it has always worked out that we could go as planned. The good news is that we will get to take advantage of the veranda guarantee rates (VGT) that recently popped up. We'll be switching to the week after Thanksgiving.
I'm really sorry not to be able to meet you guys! I think we have a really good group!
In terms of the FE list- I guess someone will volunteer to keep this. Its pretty well organized so you can cut and paste it and attach cabin #'s. If you want to link it to the first page contact MJ, the moderator and she can put a notation.
I think she has to remove the link to my post # 31 too.

We have a really great cabin (sideways) , cabin #6511. The cabin is a cat 11. If you want I will post the date that I cancel (probably tomorrow) and then the cabin may show up as available. I'm not sure how this works but I have seen posts where people will let their fellow cruisers know that they have a good cabin they are dropping.I think then you can call and ask to switch it. These sideways cabins are supposed to feel more spacious. You can do a google search (Disney magic sideways cabin) and find some pictures. If anyone is interested please PM me.

That stinks! Although I'm disappointed not to get to meet you (and thank you in person for your work getting us organized!) I definitely understand the circumstances. And now you can report back to us on how your trip was before our sailing. Thank goodness for Disney insurance!

Hi I just officially canceled my reservation for this cruise- I had 6511 which is now showing up in the inventory.
If you have a cat 11 you may want to call and see if you can get this room, its a great location and room. Check out the room reports.
It seems like some of you had the cat 11-

Thanks for the heads up, Kiki! I wish I could take advantage of it, but my MIL and SIL were assigned a room somewhat close to ours, so I think we should probably stay on deck 7. Looks like an awesome room, though. Hope someone can take advantage of it!

Off topic, but what is everyone's little ones dressing as for Halloween? Evie is going to be an owl (A very bright colored one!) and Hazel asked to be a "Princess Bat Girl" That one was a little harder to think through.

I have been stalking the board for months and deciding if I want to participate. I talked to my mom and she said no, so I am going to surprise her! I just made my Fish extender today!!!

But I am not exactly sure how it works. I know the FE goes outside the door and we buy/make gifts for everyone or per cabin? Do we have a specific day we deliver or anytime during cruise?

You made it just in time. The cut off is tuesday. I believe the group has decided that you deliver on whatever day you want. And it is your choice if you want to have one gift for the cabin or one per person. We typically do one for each child and sometimes combine the adult gift for couples. But we make our FE gifts.

We have finalized out DISign for our FE gifts..

I'm so glad you asked as you are one of the few people that could understand my son's costume. He is going as Bernie the Brewer! (it came from a party were the adults were the Racing sausages and He was Bernie)
Addie is going as Jessie the Cowgirl from Toy story.

I think the owl is a really cute idea for a costume! I'm sure you did a great job on the princess bat girl!!!

I'm a newbie to fish extenders too, but we have pretty much decided not to use specific days. You deliver when you can/want. As far as the gifts you can make one per cabin or per person or any combination of those.

My MIL just decided today that she'd like to participate. It's her and her nine year old daughter in the cabin.

I can't believe Halloween is over. We're getting so close, you guys! I'm starting on my FE gifts this weekend. We have so few cabins that I'm going to get a little creative! So looking forward to this.
