Sorry for all the questions…first cruise from Galveston.

After postponing SEVERAL cruises, we are going on the Magic out of Galveston in late December. We have an accessible cabin booked. I have seen several posts in regards to AFT locations being bad (I believe we have a Veranda). Is it true that being AFT is bad (not that we can do anything about it now)? Do you feel vibration? Is sitting outside bad ie…do you have lots of smoke, etc? Can you see the ocean while cruising (no clue what a “White Wall” is).

Just trying to be prepared as to what everyone can expect.

We always have an aft ADA cabin on both the Wonder and Magic and don't think so. You get a little more vibration from the side thrusters during docking or leaving, but that's about it. There are also some exhaust fans on deck 6, but you can sit away from those. Here's a "whitewall verandah". This is 6654 on the Wonder,

I mean that looks awesome to me and like it's large enough for a hot tub...ya hear me Disney? ;-)

I think it's just the Fantasy that has extremely bad vibrations aft. The other ships should just have slight vibrations at times (top speed, low decks, when docking, etc.). We've stayed near the aft elevators on deck 2 on the Magic/Wonder with no issues.

I've sailed quite far sft on the Magic (only a handful of doors from the end of the hall) and didn't find vibrations to be problematic. It happens at times but it's not extreme except for brief moments that you're usually asleep or not in the room for (it's when the ship gears up from a stop, stuff like that). Doesn't last.

I always advise against aft on the Fantasy but the Fantasy has a mechanical problem causing really excessive vibrations on some sailings. The other ships have only normal vibrations.
