Has anyone stayed in Cabin 2008 on the Magic? I don't see many reviews posted. I booked this room based on availability/budget for an OV on a B2B cruise next year. Does anyone have any experience? I've stayed in a forward cabin before, but not that far forward. I'm nervous about getting seasick. We've stayed aft several times and DH wants to be forward this time.

We are on the other side in 2512. I have been on deck 2 on Dream but it was an Inside Stateroom Mid Ship. We book this cabin based on availability and cost for this October cruise out of NYC.

I believe we get a smaller porthole window, but not the 2 small ones.

It is what it is! I will take my seasick medicine and hope for the best. I am just excited to get away with DH for a 4 nights on a Disney Cruise.

Hopefully, someone will respond. I like Forward. Just under all adult areas!!!

We have stayed in 2504 on the Wonder and loved it. If you didn't know already, the far forward cabins have more room in the cabins, due to the curvature of the ship. We had several extra feet between the bed and sofa and then again at the end of the bed against that wall, up against the dresser. Some of the porthole windows are also a little curved downward and we actually really enjoyed it. We also had space in front of the porthole window to put things there as it was like a wedge, instead of just the think ledge with the window. I would add our window was also slightly smaller than the others, but again, the trade-off for us was well worth it. There was very little "foot traffic" at the end since there aren't any other cabins down that far and we didn't feel too much more movement - or enough of a difference it bothered us.

Enjoy and hope this helps!

I can tell you that I had one around there but chickened out and moved midship (because of the same concerns). We're doing the 12 night Norway/Iceland cruise and I was afraid to spend that much time one what could possibly be rough seas (it cost me less than $80 to upgrade to midship).

That said, if it were a shorter cruise, or a different location, I probably would've stuck with it. It was the length that worried me.

I was just in Wonder room 2008 after the remodeling in 2016 for an Alaska cruise. I did find that I missed the one dresser that was opposite the bed. We had a shelf area under the window that we used as a luggage valet for my daughters suitcase and she kept her clothes in there. That was the adjustment we made with the missing cabinet space. I also think the window was a little smaller.
The ships Wonder/Magic are similar in this detail I believe.

Thank you for your review! :-) Do you recall if you felt more motion movement in 2008 vs staying in a cabin not so far forward?

We always book 2512 or thereabouts, it's quiet, no through footflow, a quick walk to the elevators.

The room has extra space between the end of the couch to the wall and there is a small windowsill type ledge running along the wall, seaside, which is useful.

I didn't notice the porthole being any smaller, maybe 2008 is. We won't even put upgrade, as we love this room so much.

I was excited to see your comments on 2512. We have this room on the Magic this October out of NYC!
I am glad to hear positive comments. I thought the porthole window was just a little smaller than the others. Can you sit in the window? I know further forward they have the 2 small windows/portholes.

I booked this based on availability and price. I have been on deck 2 Inside stateroom on the Dream. First time, Oceanview. Had a Verrandah a couple of times.

Deck2 porthole cabins on Wonder/Magic at the front and back are slightly smaller portholes than those in the center. If you look closely when at a port you can see it, but it's very subtle from the outside. All the guest cabins on deck 2 have a single large (or almost large) porthole, and the ones with 2 small portholes are crew cabins and are behind a crew door in front of 2500 or 2000. Some of the cabins towards the front have extra space and have a window ledge in front of the porthole that you can sit in. Sounds like 2512 is one of those from a post above.

I’ve always stayed in that section of the ship for my last three cruises and I’ll be there in two more months that same area. I have some pretty serious motion sickness problems and was on a first cruise with waves that we’re reaching 12 to 15 feet in the goofy pool. Which I saw from the elevator exit on deck 10. I liked it maybe just because it’s lower that I found it helpful nice and quiet too.
