Working on my FE gift plans and wondering if there was a date to close the Minnie list? We are on both lists and since the Mickey list is full and basically closed was wondering what was planned for the Minnie list as it is small at this time.

Also, was there a final vote reached for the name of the group?

Sorry, not on Facebook and it has been so quiet on this thread I thought I better catch up!!! Thanks for any info!

We will probably do Stingray city. We have done it before but our friends have not. We have also done Stingrays on Castaway Cay which is much more controlled environment if younger kids. Think we will just shop around town in Cozumel. We have done some of the beach excursions in the past but not sure if I could do two days in a row as walking issues. We have been to Key West a few times. First time we did the conch train tour. That was interesting for adults but that was no on off. We have never been to Hemmingways house. What did you enjoy most about that?

While I enjoyed the grounds, the home and learning a lot more about the man himself, I have to admit that I just loved the poly dactyl cats who roam all over the property :goodvibes. They all have so many extra toes they look like they have mittens on!

I have to admit seeing the cats would catch my attention too! They sound very cute!

We used CityView Trolley Tours when we stopped at KW last November. It is hop on hop off. The driver/guides are very good. You can save money by buying tickets online.

At least check out their maps online as you can see what attractions are close by to the different stops - click on the maps for each stop - very easy to plan out your own walking tour if you want to do that. Lots to see and do for all ages.

I went to Hemingway House for the cats but found everything there very interesting. The "Audubon" House was also very interesting. We also have enjoyed the Butterfly Conservatory and the Aquarium. We might check out Truman's Little White House this time.

Don't forget to stop for Key Lime Pie!

Probably not until a lot closer. We still have over 130 days. Based on feedback from other FE groups, some don't close until 6 weeks before. Maybe just wait and see a little longer? We are on both lists too so I know what you mean ;-)

No worries just didnt want to miss knowing the date if it was decided. I have participated in some FEs that closed 2-3 months before but I have also been in one that closed one month before but that was a little tight! Wasn't sure what consensus here is for this group. I admit, I am a planner, so just trying to stay ahead! (or keep up as the case may be! :rotfl2:) Thanks!

So what is everyone planning to do at our port stops?

The only thing we have booked so far is the Cozumel Bar Hop.

I have the Cozumel Bar Hop and the Jet Ski Stringray tour already booked. Not much planned for Key West...well other than :drinking1:drinking1

Okay--we are not disney cruising newbies--we know to bring our pirate gear, but we haven't yet done the FE's. Just signed our family of four up. Eric, Brea, Tyler and myself, Lori. What are the shoe sizes for? Also, new to google docs--so I hope it saved! I didn't see a save button??? So excited!
shoe sizes for girls are for the gift I am working on it would be great if you could add

I know that there has been some talk on here regarding booking excursions through DCL and on your own. My party of 6 is considering one of the Dolphin excursions while at Cozumel. We are looking at either Dolphin Discovery or Dolphinaris. Have any of you done these?? Did you book through DCL or on your own??? What are your opinions on doing it on your own??? Are any of you interested in this excursion??? We would love some company!!! Thanks in advance for any insight you have :) It is really appreciated :)

I am very excited when I woke up this morning I checked my reservation. We got cabana #6 on CC, palo brunch first day at sea and the extreme dolphin swim on Grand Cayman! I am excited to see what everyone else will be booking. Our family is looking forward to cruising with yours. I am 3/4 of the way done with buying stuff for my FE. It is a lot of fun but more costly than planned, I am excited to share what I have with others in my group. Here is to hoping that the next 120 days fly by then the 7 after that take their time.

Congrats!!!! 'patiently' :rotfl: waiting for our 105 day mark to roll around!!!

Quick question for the women in the Mickey FE group - do any of you not have pierced ears? I'm making earrings as one of my FE gifts and I can make some screw on or clip on types for anyone who doesn't have pierced ears. Thanks!

I think we're booking a non-DCL excursion in Cozumel, but not this particular one. I would check reviews on tripadvisor or Yelp for reviews as I like to use that as a guide when i'm booking something such as this. Enjoy!

I would also suggest checking the Cozumel port of call message board on CruiseCritic.com for reviews.

I do not have pierced ears :)

Just an FYI. I think I forgot to mention before that on the FE Mickey list my husband and I are Preds. Hope that helps.

Hi All
It's been a long time since I posted and I realize I am way behind the eight ball here. I completely forgot about this thread and have been feverishly been looking on Facebook for a cruise thread.
Just thought I'd check in and say hi and read what everyone has been planning. Getting very excited. Booked our hotel stay for the night before, we will be staying at the beach club, we figured we try somewhere new.
It is our first cruise, me (Dani), hubby(Greg) dd (Sara16), and ds (jack 9).
We are in a one bedroom, 8532
Celebrating our 20 yr anniversary
I was able to book a cabana, cabana #8 and our excursions. We are doing sting ray city, dolphin swim and hopefully parasailing at castaway.
I know this is jersey week, but we are from just outside of Philly, Hatboro.
Since it's our first cruise, nervous about DH getting seasick. And pretty much clueless about everything else.
If you are doing a meet up, please let me know.
Dani

Don't know if I missed it, but has anyone started an area for the kids to talk. I see some of the other cruises have a link for the kids to talk before the cruise.

Just wanted to make sure my kids didn't miss it.
