Disney Magic 5 night Western Caribbean out of Miami questions

We are going on our first Disney cruise in January. We are going with my parents and my sister's family. I have several questions about online check-in especially regarding tickets for the Princess Gathering, Frozen meet and greet and a BBB appt. If I connect all three of our reservations on My Disney Cruise, can I make the ticket plans and appointments for all three rooms or just my room? I'm finding conflicting information, and I really want to make sure my daughter and her cousin have everything booked together. Also, I should be online at midnight of our online check-in day, right? Also, will I know the day of the special dinner nights (Pirate night, fancy dinner night) before online check in because we want to make the BBB appt the night we can dress-up for dinner? Is there anything else I should know?

I just did on-line check-in last night for my Jan 15th cruise out of Miami (Silver Castaway Club). We have two linked rooms and I was able to book the Frozen and Prince Gathering character meetings for both cabins at the same time through my reservation. I did my check-in at midnight but I just checked this morning and there were still slots open for the character meetings and for adult dining as well. They don't tell you what night is Pirate night or formal night. I remember from my cruise on the Dream in Aug 2015 that Pirate Night was the same as Castaway Cay but not sure if that's what is always done.

As long as all the rooms have the same booking window, you can make reservations for anyone on linked reservations.

Typically a 5 night cruise has no actual "formal" night, but a Dress Up Optional night (usually night 2). You can dress up any night, you wish, however.

We are on this cruise as well, and I did my check-in today. The pirate party is listed as an on-board activity for the third night (Grand Cayman day). Really excited because we got a cabana for our CC day!

Thank you for all your responses!
They are very helpful. I'm sure I will have more questions as we get closer! Like, for the Frozen and princess gathering do you get one ticket per person, child, or cabin?

We too are on this cruise!! It's going to be an awesome time. We got a ticket for everyone in the cabin.
