Disney Magazine

My father a long time ago used to recieve in the mail Disney Magazines. Does anyone know if they still have this out where it talks all about Disney and Disney World or did they stop producing these magazines?

They stopped making that Magazine about a year ago. We used to get that magazine and I really miss it. I always read it from cover to cover. We get FamilyFun in place of it now. It's a nice magazine but it dosen't have a whole lot in it about WDW or Disneyland.

Me too...I sure do miss it. I used to pick it up at the Disney Store for half price. I read somewhere once that there is a magazine not published by Disney that goes more indepth and without all the fluff. Maybe this thread prompt someone to post info on that magazine!

I also looked forward to getting that in the mail. I don't understand why they stopped printing it. I think it was pretty popular.

I loved that magazine and they stopped making it.. I still have a few issues that I kept... I wish they would have kept it going..

It was very-well regarded by the folks who did subscribe, but comparatively few people elected to pay to subscribe. (We got our subscription free for a while, as a matter of fact.) The problem was so acute that the subscription fee was substantially less than other magazines of the same size and nature. In the end, it was apparent that they were writing the losses off as promotional expenses. They were figuring that folks getting the magazine were being prompted to book more vacations, buy more videos, etc. In a situation like that, all that is necessary to kill the magazine is for marketing to come up with a more effective use of promotional resources.

it ended maybe 6 months or so ago. my fiance used to get it in the mail for a while but they decided to do away with the magazine.....and it's really disappointing. it was so much fun to read.
