Is it normal that my magazine shows up weeks after it hit's the shelves? Is it common for someone at the Post Office to "hold" it for a few days before they deliver it?
:confused3

There is one more issue to come and then it will be done. The magazine has folded. There is to be an issue on the 50th celebration.

That is a HUGE pet peeve of mine. It used to be that when you subscribed to a magazine you got it ahead of the newstand, now it can take up to two weeks after for it to show up. Drives me nuts!

I called Disney Magazine yesterday and a real nice lady told me that the Summer issue is ready to be sent soon. YEAH!

I asked her about this being the last publication and she said that they had still not received official word that the magazine is through.

I asked her if those who decide if the magazine stays or goes can get a message and she took mine down to keep the magazine. I hope it stays. I really love my Disney Magazine! :flower:

What was the last issue to be sent? I got the last one with the Incredibles' article and nothing lately. Yesterday I was in the Disney Store and there was a Disney magazine marked down to $2.50 (had a picture of Mickey on the cover in front of the Castle) and had articles about the restaurants on one of the Disney ships, an article about a haunted tour at Disney Land with a tour guide Gracey/Gracie, etc. so I bought it thinking it was a special edition. Did I just go and waste $2.50 on an edition I will already be getting (eventually)? Also, I heard they will be offering refunds or asking if you want to switch to another Disney publication though I've not heard about that yet (nor how many editions are in a yearly subscription to the other magazine).

The magazine you purchased was the last one sent out (SPring 2005). No, you did not waste your money. I believe the subscription is about $20 and you get 4 issues, making the magazines about $5 a piece. So actually you got it for half off! :cool1:

The rumor is that if they do close the magazine, then those of us who already have subscriptions will be able to get a refund or switch to another Disney publication. :flower:

I was wondering because I also saw the Spring issue in the store, and have not yet received it.
