Disney Luggage for Kids

We are gifting our children Disney for Christmas and plan to give them luggage. I found my 4YO this adorable 16 inch hardsided spinner but now I'm considering trying to resell it and buying this 21 inch from Disney. I think she will like the smaller one better but I figured it might give us more packing space (we are hoping to do carryon only) and hopefully she won't age out of it as quickly. Does anyone have this suitcase and can offer opinions? Why am I becoming obsessed every aspect of this vacation?!?!

I would go with the second option. I definitely think it could age with her better.

How many days are you going for? What time of the year are you planning on going? Can you fit enough clothing in a carry-on for your trip, not go over the weight allotment (if there is one) and still have room for souvenirs? I use a carryon for a 2-3 day trip, but would never use one for Disney - there's too much stuff to haul!

We have that 21' suitcase but in a different style (Mickeys instead of the little princesses). It's a really nice suitcase! We only do carry-ons wherever we go. It makes traveling so much easier. I would go for the 21'.

We are going in January for 7 days and I was planning on doing laundry mid week. I planned on everyone doing a carry on plus a book bag for our personal item. If I have to check no biggie but for simplicity I'm trying not to.

All of daughters clothes would fit in 16in because they are small but I thought I could use the extra room in her case if I got the 21in.

With Christmas coming I don't think it would be too hard to resell the other one to recoup my costs.

double check the Carry on size for the airline you use most. The 21" case may be too big for carry-on size. many airlines are now cracking down on size of bags. I saw many people at the airport have to check bags as they just barely didn't fit in the bag size tester. Both are adorable cases though!
