Disney Killed my Flip Flops, but man I'm Full! Our Anniversary Trip! W/Final Recap!

T-Rex looks so fun! The food pictures look yummy!
We didn't know about the bus situation until the following day. We were waiting at the MK bus stop the day of the bus incident and did notice that they were stopping all of the buses that were coming in to the bus stops. We were standing and waiting for a bus and watching what was going on. I didn't even know that they extended parks hours because of it until the next day.

That is so neat that you got a personal car ride over to DTD. Little things like that are what make me love Disney. ;)

Great update!:)

The Bus situation was a little crazy, but that ride more then made up for it! It really was nice! Gotta love good customer service :thumbsup2

Still reading!!!!:thumbsup2

Thanks! You're awesome! :goodvibes

I'm adding the ice cream sandwich on my to eat list. Looks really yummy!

Just remember that the ones from the Main Street Bakery are HUGE! :flower3:

The buses still weren't running after dinner, and my husband wanted to take some pictures, so we decided to hang around in Downtown Disney for a little while. My friends and I grabbed a bench near Wetzels and had a snack while DH got his Tripod and walked around. The bench was a great idea as my feet were killing me. I enjoyed catching up with my friends, and DH got some wonderful shots. Here are some of my favorites...

Around 8:30ish we decided to call it a night and head back to the resort to relax. By then, the buses were up and running in full force so we had no trouble getting back to the Resort. After a snack in the Food Court, I decided to go chill by the pool while DH walked around and took a few shots of the Resort. For being a Value Resort, ASMu really looks nice at night.

DH joined me in the pool for a little while, then we called it a night...tomorrow we would be spending the day in Epcot and enjoy some more of that Extra Magic! :thumbsup2

The Friday of our Adventure took us to Epcot. We slept in, had a quick lunch at the resort, and then made our way over to Future World...

3954665492_35f029e601.jpg

We rode Spaceship Earth, and I really enjoyed the new touches that they added to it on your descent back to the bottom. I also like the play area when you get off the ride...I took some memory tests while DH snapped some pictures of me playing:

3954666022_5cd7e47fce.jpg

We then made our way around Innoventions. This area has always been cute, but it's starting to get a little boring. I'm waiting for them to do more with this area, but we still had fun! Here's DH being silly and playing with the Robots:

3954727752_3fa4ab259c.jpg

After a little bit of walking around, we made our way over to Club Cool so DH could have his first encounter with Beverly! :lmao:

3954666242_e9191bde92.jpg

We've been here a few times, so I couldn't believe he had never tried it. We both had our camera ready while the other one was taste testing. Here's what happens when you meet Beverly:

After a little more fun, and getting rid of that nasty (but fun) taste, we made our way around the rest of Future World. We spent some time at the Imagination Pavilion, and then went over to Ride the Living Seas.

I think it's cute how they added Nemo to this, but I kind of miss those elevators in the pre-ride show, and I think you used to see more of the aquarium too... :confused3

Once we played in here for a little while, we started to get hungry. Originally I wanted us to try the restaurant in Mexico, but they were booked for free dining so I wandered over to the Coral Reef to check out the wait for walk-ins. It was only 20mins so we said sure. :thumbsup2

Coral Reef is new to us...I was nervous because I had heard so many mixed reviews, but we like seafood so we decided to try it for ourselves. What the heck right? It was FREE Dining after all so at worst, we'd just have a snack somewhere else later! Let me tell you, it was not disappointing in ANY way!

We were seated in the middle section of the restaurant and this was the view from our table...we came to the realization that there really wasn't a bad seat in the place:

After looking over the menu, we decided to try an appetizer even though they aren't covered on the Dining Plan. We picked the Appetizer for Two. This included small portions of their Beef, Crab Cakes, Shrimp, Lobster Bisque, and Cucumber Salad. This was VERY good! They also serve bread:

For our Entrees I had the Ribeye and DH picked the Salmon. both were cooked perfectly, only mildly seasoned, and were quite delicious:

Dessert was awesome...I had the Almond Gelato which was served over top of some type of granola that was made from Cereal. It was very interesting!

3954728222_621f25425a.jpg

DH chose the Neopolitan Cheesecake that was made from Marscapone Cheese. It was not quite as sweet as I'm used to, but he enjoyed it.

We relaxed a little while, enjoyed watching the Divers, then made our way over to Mission Space before wandering over to the World Showcase.

Next up Night Shots, Drinks Around the World and more Night Shots! :goodvibes

I am loving your TR!!! I think this is my first post on yours! Your DH takes AMAZING pictures! Keep up the awesome updates! I can't wait to read more!

Loving your report!

Glad you had a good meal at Coral reef.....I love the restaurant, sometimes it's wonderful other times so disappointing. You must have hit it on the right day:thumbsup2

I forgot to write that while the food was good...we BARELY saw our server. That's ok though because we enjoyed relaxing in the Air Conditioning and watching the Tank. We'd still go back...the food really was a surprise!

It was almost 7pm so we decided to make our way over to the World Showcase to get a seat for the last showing of the British Invasion. We discovered these guys last year and really liked them, so we wanted to get good seats and stay for a whole show this time.

While my husband saved our seats, I ran over to France to get us some goodies. I got DH some Chocolate Soft Serve and I got my favorite World Showcase drink (thus far...) the Gran Marnier Slush! Thank the DIS for this one! Yum! I got back to the UK, got settled in my seat, and kicked back with my drink to watch the show...

After the show we walked over to the bridge between the UK and France to Watch Illuminations. It was kind of crowded, but we've seen the show a million times already so we didn't need to find "the perfect spot."

After the show, we walked back to Canada to start taking pictures around the World...

Then France...

While DH was taking pictures here, I got him a Gran Marnier Slush, and I switched to the Gray Goose Slush. At this time of night I asked for a regular cup to make them easier to carry...it felt like we got more drink this way!

(Sorry for the Blurry Pictures...My Pics are not nearly as nice as the ones that DH takes!) ;)

Not all of the countries are nicely lit, so we moved on to a few that were...

Here's Morocco!

3953912681_ba637e0c86.jpg

Then Japan...

3954693352_d2d0fa0c42.jpg

I wanted to stop in China to try a Peach Snap Drink but the Stand was Closed so I moved on to Norway in hopes of finally trying the Schoolbread...and I did! :yay:

3953947913_9bec5d86be.jpg

DH was not so keen on the bread part, but liked the custard. I LOVED it ALL! :dance3:

Our last stop in the showcase was Mexico...
We were gonna get another snack here, but they were closing so we just got a nice picture:

3953912943_212d56048e.jpg

After we left the Showcase we headed over to the Fountain to get some shots of that and Spaceship Earth:

I also finally found the glowing sidewalks on our way out:

3954693838_d9209811b5.jpg

That was pretty much all we wanted to do so we called it a night.

We walked out, took a bus back to the resort, got to our room and found this little guy:

3953948165_12ca11230f.jpg

He ended up being my favorite towel animal of the whole trip! What a nice way to end a fun day...tomorrow is our last full day in the World. What would we end up doing? Stay tuned...!

Your night time pics at Epcot and DTD are really enjoyable! They are also the best ASMu pics I've seen.

Your meal at Coral Reef looks and sounded really good. So glad you enjoyed it.

Too bad about the buses. What a PITA! Good for you for getting private transportation to DTD. And how awesome to get 50% off the food at T-Rex. Now that's a bargain.

Can't believe its your last day already!

Thanks! I'll be sure to tell DH he's getting lots of compliments about his pictures! Looking back on the trip as I'm writing, it really does go by too fast! :sad1:

It sounds like you had a great time. Your DH's photos are spectacular so I do have a question. I see that he is using a Nikon, but what lens(es) did he use. We are returning to the Mouse in December for a retirement celebration and both my DW and I will be taking his and hers photos during the trip and any advice on lens selection would be greatly appreciated. Congratulate your DH on his photos.

Wow! I LOVE the nighttime pictures in Epcot! Your DH does a great job! :thumbsup2

Thanks! He's my own personal papparazzi!

We would be leaving tomorrow afternoon, so today is our last full day in the World! Time really does fly when you're having fun... :sad1:

We decided to start our day at my absolute most favorite restaurant in Disney...Beaches and Cream! I love this place! It has some of the best burgers you'll ever taste, and the desserts are to die for! There's nothing fancy about it..if you're ever close to the Beach Club, I HIGHLY suggest you give it a try. There used to never be a crowd here, but it gets more popular each year. This year it was a 20 minute wait for a table, so we opted for the counter.

Now onto the food! DH and I BOTH got Burgers and Fries! Juicy, and Delicious...my mouth is watering just thinking about them! :cloud9:

Then the Carnage...we tore those up! :cutie:

3953953099_7c300f8196.jpg

Next was Dessert...We usually split something here, but the Dining Plan allowed us to get our own so I had the Strawberry Shortcake (my FAVORITE!) and DH had the Banana Split!

3954734580_d46d022594.jpg

After Lunch, we walked over to the Yacht Club to relax a little bit. I could live on the furniture in that Lobby! SO COMFY!
Here's DH in a food coma...

3953953773_44f2db2ed3.jpg

Once we had fully recovered it was on to spend the rest of the afternoon at the Studios so we could ride the Tower of Terror again, and catch one last Idol show. We also did Dinner at Rosie's and discovered Jellyrolls...can't wait to share more! Stay Tuned! :thumbsup2

I love this report...the pictures are awesome. I can't wait to go back to Disney and try some of that yummy food! :yay:

I am sorry your report is coming to an end. :sad1:I have really enjoyed all of your pictures. The pictures are all so good. It is so cool to see pictures of the parks without many people in them. That is not usually something I see. We are usually not there in the early morning and can't stay that late.
