We're headed to Disneyland the end of April and my DD (2) and DS (5) love Disney Jr. so we're definitely headed over to that show one of our days. Are the current characters there Doc, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake still? Also, are there any Disney Jr. characters out for meet and greets? A long time ago I saw a photo of Sofia meeting people but it's been quite a while so not sure they're still doing that. Also, is there any Sherriff Callie merchandise at the parks? This is the kids' favorite show and they'd be so excited if we found some Sherriff Callie souvenirs while we're there.

I've loved reading all the tips and input from everybody on these forums. It's really helping me plan our trip. Thanks for everybody who contribute to these threads. I wouldn't say I'm a newbie to Disneyland (we went about every other year while I was growing up) but I'm learning something new here everyday.

It was Sofia, Doc, The Neverland Pirates and Mickey and crew last week :)

Playhouse Disney features Disney Jr. characters. It's basically a story that Mickey and Friends want to have a birthday party for Minnie (I think it was Minnie), but they run into problems. So they call Toodles and it calls up three stories to help them figure out how to resolve their issue. The vignettes are based on Princess Sofia, Doc McStuffins, and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. I expected to see performers dressed up as the characters (kind of like the meet and greet style characters), but it's actually puppets (think Muppets). There is one person (kind of like a host), but he's the only "human" in the show. It's a pretty cute show and the kids seemed to enjoy it. Most of it is ground seating, but there are a few benches in the very back of the theater. Just note that if you sit on the benches, the confetti that drops from the ceiling doesn't really reach that area. There is a lot of movement during the show (as kids collect the confetti).

In terms of the character meet and greets, I'm pretty sure Princess Sofia and Doc McStuffins (maybe Jake, not as sure about that) rotate during the day to meet guests near Playhouse Disney. We meet Doc McStuffins back in November, so at that point she was still meeting guests. She'll sign autographs and pose for photos.

I don't recall seeing much in the way of Sheriff Callie souvenirs, but I wasn't looking for it (there were lots of Sophia, McStuffins, and Jake stuff). On a related note, I did see a bunch of Sheriff Callie and friends items at my local Target a few weeks ago. So if you haven't had a chance to check out Target, you might stop by there to see if they have anything.

Great information. Thank you so much. I'm going to head over to Target today and see what they have. If I find any I'll maybe stash them away as surprises and give it to them while we're there :disrocks:

I haven't seen Handy Manny around in the parks on my last few trips, but I wasn't looking for him either. My guess is that if he's there, it'll be over by Playhouse Disney, but that seems to mostly be Sofia, Doc McStuffins, or Jake at this point.

Thanks - he likes those shows too so it won't be disappointing. It just would have been fun to find Handy Manny.
