Disney Jewlery Thread - Chamilia and any others!

I just read all of the threads I missed from early January when I was planning my trip.

Has anyone seen a hanging sneaker charm by any company? I am going to run my first 5k next month and I really want a charm. I might just go with the Cinderella hanging shoe, since I am running during the Princess weekend.

I have. Give me a bit to remember which one of the websites I buy from that I saw it. I have the Chamilia running shoe on mine, but I know there's a dangling one by someone, too. I'll try to find it.

I just did my first half marathon at WDW two weeks ago (I'm a walker, not a runner, though). They had several stands at the Expo with race related beads. I got some from runnersfeat.com that have distances engraved on them.

Well, I just "bing"ed dangling running shoe, and Pandora makes one, as well a couple other companies. Just depends on what you would like it to look like, I guess. I thought one of the companies I used made one, but I can't find it. Maybe it was discontinued. :confused3

Hope this helps!

I found the cutest watch at the world. It has the comic design band and the watch is silver with Mickey and Minnie on the face holding hands and hearts all around it. I absolutely fell in love and bought it:lovestruc

Waiting for a picture if you're able. Have to start preparing my shopping list.

Thank you for the website. I was at WDW two weeks ago and seeing all the runners with their medals is what inspired me to train for the 5k. I am not a runner, but am seeing progress.

Good luck!! Disney races are a blast. My son is a runner, and I caught the bug when we first attended Marathon Weekend a few years back. Started out with the 5K two years ago, then did a Castaway Cay 5K, did a half marathon relay (each participant does 1/2 the race) at Hershey, then did an entire half this year at WDW. It's addicting! Plus getting a high five from Goofy as you cross the finish line is just awesome! :thumbsup2

Someone asked about beads at Epcot. DH found a square one with a "I" "heart" "U" and a mickey head on each side. It is similar the the Pandora one I have with a gold heart. I will try to post a picture of it soon. It is Sterling and was WAY over priced ($72) in my opinion! I couldn't tell DH to save his money. It was an anniversary trip and he really wanted to buy me something and he was so proud of himself for finding it all by himself. Gotta love the guy! :lovestruc

Overall, I was disappointed with the amount of beads MK and DTD had. I guess they only had in stock what hasn't been discontinued. I was looking for hanging pooh and he wasn't anywhere. I finally bought him off of Ebay.

I look forward to seeing the picture of the bead you mentioned that your husband bought for you at Epcot! Was that bead an Epcot exclusive?

I am so sorry, I am not able. I have tried but can't figure out how to post on here. If you want, you pm me your email and I could send you a pic that way. Let me know.:)

Kathy, to post pictures you need to first upload them to a share site. I use photobucket. After you upload in photobucket you just click on the picture, resize if needed, and copy the share link that starts with IMG. Then you just paste the link into your message.

PS - I love your new Mickey avatar!

Lynn, what is my new Mickey avatar that you love because I want to love it, too. Lol now you can see how dense I am and why pics is so hard for me. I have done that before, gone to photo bucket, etc, and yet it doesn't work. :sad2: anyway, tell me what it is I have that you love:lmao:

Haha! that's what I get for posting before coffee in the morning! I was confusing your posts with RatherBeWithMickey's. She has a cute Mickey avatar.

After I posted I drove to the gym (10 miles) only to discover that I forgot my sneakers at home. :scared1:

Maybe I should just have gone back to bed!

There was a booth at the expo for the wine & dine run that had charms - the 5K, 1/2 marathon and the website offerd more. I will need to look for site in my Halloween 5K packet. I liked their charms as the also had the race name along with the distance and were reasonable priced [$ about $35 for sterling silver]:woohoo: Good luck on your 5K

Nice! Did you ever get the Mickey swirl from London?

It finally came the 12th of January. I refused it and the post office sent it back. I had gotten a refund before my trip, but the gal was the nastiest person I ever dealt with on ebay.:sad2:I only got my refund because ebay said she had to refund it. I ordered it on the 6th of December.

Oh wow. I didn't realize that you were having trouble with the seller. I thought that she had offered to send a replacement.

At least it all worked out in the end.

I don't have the hanging pooh bead yet. It's on my wishlist. ;)

She had offered me a replacement before the time ran out that it should have arrived, then when that happened she didn't want to do anything and started telling me how her kids would have no swim lessons this summer because of me, etc. At that point I turned it over to ebay who the same day declared she had to refund my money. She never gave ebay a valid tracking number and she has had negetives in feedback since this incident from others not just me. She also sent me several emails threatening me until ebay told me to block all emails and access to her on my account and on my email acct. I am easily intimidated and she was creeping me out for a couple of days till I blocked her on both avenues.:scared1:
But I have my Mickey swirl bead from the other ebay person and it looks great. Got it 3 days after buying it!!!

That's a little crazy... at least she is on the other size of a big ocean!

I'm hoping to get to the jewelry store in the next couple of days. I need a lock for one of my bracelets. I usually just switch the lock from one bracelet to another, but I would like to be able to leave it together when I travel.

Just wanted to post and say hi- my husband started me on Chamilia this past holiday season and I ended up collecting different beads all throughout out two weeks of Magic (Cruise, WDW, Half-Marathon). Now I'm hooked! (Hoping to get the "I love you" honey pot for Valentine's Day :) )

I love looking and collecting all the different charms. Really hoping to get the castle charm when we head out to Disneyland in September for the half-marathon there, but it looks like it might be one of those that are discontinued? Any ideas if they might still have them there by that time or should I try and get one now?

For those that saw the charms at the expo (kicking myself that I missed them!), what kinds did they have? Any pictures or websites I might be able to check out?

Welcome! I would say that if you have your heart set on the castle you should pick it up now. It is one that Chamilia is not producing any more. I know that I have kicked myself a few times for not picking up a discontinued bead when I see it.

I have not seen any of the expo charms and would love to see pictures too!

I've bought 4 new beads the past two weeks. I'm justifying them because they're all being retired (2 troll and 2 chamilia), and I only paid $80 for all of them :lmao: I'm going to try to get a picture of them to share sometime tomorrow.

My local retailer just sent out an e-mail with the list of trollbeads that are being retired- I'm hoping they send out one about the chamilia beads as well. Unfortunately, the troll list doesn't have pictures, just the name of the bead.
