Disney Jewlery Thread - Chamilia and any others!

So, for you interested in a new line of Mickey and Minnie jewelry, Swarovski.com has new ones. They are only on line at present. Go to their website and under products click on Disney ( on the left) the new pieces are on the 2nd and3rd pages. I just ordered the Mickey bracelet, and the Minnie pierced earrings.
Now reading back thru this thread, I have a question about the Camilla beads. Back in the spring at a very fancy mall I was at the Swarovski store had the Disney Camilla beads. They were very pretty, but already tarnishing in the display. The gal said they were all ss and not treated to prevent tarnishing, so I passed. Have you found this to be a big problem?

Glad you found the thread! To answer your question, the silver Chamilia beads do need to be cleaned regularly. I have a few cleaning cloths that my Chamilia dealer gave me when I first started buying them. It works like a charm to remove the tarnish.

Some of the Disney beads have gold versions too, but those are a bit out of my price range!

Also, when it's not on my wrist, I store the bracelet in my jewelry box that's lined in a material designed to prevent tarnishing. I haven't really had to do much to the bracelet, since that seems to keep it looking nice. :thumbsup2

I only want silver. I just didn't want alot of work when I go to wear it. I think I will have to look into this. I already have a Brighton charm bracelet and a Kay jewelers charm bracelet. I think I "need" a Disney charm bracelet:lmao:

Now that sounds like a great idea! :thumbsup2 I will definitely look into that. where did you get yours?:)
I am so excited I found this thread with jewelry buddies, too:love:

I've had my Chamilia bracelets for two years and I haven't had any problems with tarnishing - Disney or non-Disney.

Hockey Mom, on the past thread where you posted your flex bracelet, will appox. 5 beads only fit between the two circles? Does one of those screw off to apply the beads? That looks really pretty and if only that many fit, that would be a good starter so I don't go too crazy at first, not that I would ever do that:lmao:
My name is Kathy, may I ask what yours is?
By the way, both of your bracelets are beautiful!!

Hi Kathy, my name is Lynn. :)

I like the flex bracelet for exactly that reason. You only need a few beads on it. The little spacers slide on the bracelet so you can put as few or as many beads as you like. You can also put beads on each end which looks cool too.

I am always using the flex bracelet to make special combinations for an event or to go with a special outfit.

I have to take some more pictures. I have two new bracelets that I have been working on this year. I also have my swarovski pieces to add.

Just be careful, for me it's as bad an addiction as the dooneys!

I got mine at QVC. They carry everything from small pouches to large jewelry armoires with the anti tarnish lining. Two of the brands I have are Lori Greiner and Pre-zerve. I use a small travel size pouch for trips to Disney, and they keep things looking good. :thumbsup2

Hi Lynn:) Thanks for the warning but I am already addicted to Jewelry. I told you I already ordered the swarovski jewelry. I really like the look of the flex bracelet. When you have nothing else to do:lmao:a mom with nothing else to do, take some pics of the ones you are working on. I am great at copying ideas. I am not great at coming up with my own. I love the swirl Disney you had on the middle of your bigger bracelet. Very pretty. :lovestruc

Ok, here are the pictures....

This first bunch is all Swarovski necklaces. The Mickey heads in the hearts is the one that started my addiction. My DH bought it for me on our Disneymoon (which was about 15 years after we got married!:lmao:)

More Swarovski.....

My DD got me these earrings for Christmas. They are cool because the dangle part is reversible. The other side is black.

These are charms.

The crystals really don't photograph very well. I think all the pieces are much prettier in person.

Finally, my latest Chamilia...

I had so many Disney beads that they would not all fit on my original black and read bracelet so I started this blue and green one. The crystal mickey head and the "dreams come true" bead were the color inspiration for this one. My mom just got me Kermit who fits really well on there too!

This one is my birthday bracelet. My birthstone is amethyst so I wanted to do a purple theme. I love the purple swarovski mickey head bead. :lovestruc

HockeyMom, my daughter (a figure skater :)) says to tell you that she loves your Alice in Wonderland cake, even if you're a hockey mom LOL.

I've never seen the Mickey hat earrings. I bet those are super cute!

As for beads, it really is hard to choose. I have always tried to stay with a theme either with the color, or charms, or both. It's easier to narrow it down that way. The silver mickey head charm was my very first piece, and the red and black bracelet was the first set of beads.

The earrings are cute. They are black on the other side. Is the charm that way? I got the earrings at Disneyworld 2yrs ago this coming jan. :)
