Disney Jewlery Thread - Chamilia and any others!

Let me just say "Thanks Girls...."

First, I never spent more than $30 for a purse until Disney and Dooney teamed up. So now I have been feeding that addiction and now you girls have to pop on here with Disney Chamilia !!! My budget can't take this and I have no will power!!

I have ordered a couple beads to get me started...waiting for them to arrive and have a heck of a wish list going.

Disney must stop doing this too me !!

I will be back in the future to post my progress !

Hahaahahahaha!! I'm right there with you sista! But just think, with the beads, after you have the initial collections, you can literally make hundreds of different designs from the same beads, from necklaces to bracelets, anklets, etc! And it's so much cheaper to put a bead or two on your wishlists than a $300 dollar purse! (Unless, of course, you're like me and want the gold tinkerbell really bad!! )

Oh, BTW HockeyMomNH, your cakes are gorgeous....have you ever competed?

Oh, what cute ideas!! I love playing on the Chamilia website and creating designs on their "wishlist". I have one I call "Fairytale Wedding" bracelet that has the carriage, castle, cinderella shoe, the white frosted beads, etc. I created one last night that would look real cute for the 4th of July, it has the blue Mickey Head in the center, with the silver stars on either side, and red striped bead on the end.....and one I call "Blue Christmas" I'm going to see if I can save them as JPegs pics and see what you experts think!

Think i did it!! I'd love to see some of your ideas!!

I love your designs! I could almost show you what the red white and blue one looks like in real life. I have the mickey and two of the red swirls. My mom has the star, but she only has one.

I have some designs made on the Chamilia website too. I'll see if I can add them later this morning.

Thanks. I have not been making cakes for very long. It's a new hobby I just discovered. I am hoping that I might be able to finance my purse/bead addicition with the cakes someday!

This is the next thing that I am working towards. I have the Tink bead already. I want to make this a necklace, but the Chamilia site does not let you do designs with necklaces.

This design actually came from the Disney Store online. They had a picture very similar to this up. I think it was the black leather bracelet that was for sale.

I think we could all use some more green!

I have started the process of becoming licensed to make cakes out of my home. It's pretty involved though, and my DH and I already run one business, so the thought of starting a second one is a bit overwhelming. I really love seeing the look on the kids faces when they see my cakes though.

I got two new green beads today. Here is the Tinkerbell necklace. I think I would like to replace the two spacers with Mickey heads eventually.

I tried to take a picture with it on. Not an easy feat!

And this one is my mostly non-Disney bracelet. I do have the dreams come true bead on it so I guess it counts. This one is my kids' bracelet. That's a little hockey player in the middle, and then the two wheels are my kid's birthstones. The other silver pieces are other things that remind me of my kids.

Oooooooh, love the green beads, so pretty!! Tink too!! I was playing with the Tink charm on Chamilia last night, and just couldn't come up with a combo I liked, but I love yours. I like your soccer bead too.

Oh, one "Disney" bead that bugs me to death, is the Fairy Godmother bead...for some reason, I think she looks like the old Hag that gave Snow White the apple.

Ladies, I really LOVE your bracelets! I think I would really like to have one or two (maybe three!) of these. The fairy godmother bead is definatly scary and I too would describe the castle bead as a circus tent. I have no desire to own either one. What I would like to know is have they made a Goofy bead yet? He is my favorite!

I agree about the Fairy Godmother bead. I think that the castle bead looks like the DL castle. It's cuter in person, I think, but it doesn't look like cinderella's castle.

I totally want a Goofy bead!!

Okay, I am subbing to this thread b/c I asked for charms for a charm bracelet for my birthday...I discovered the Disney ones and that was pretty much what made me feel like I needed one. Only three right now...but there will be more. (ETA: I'm sorry the picture is so large; I can't resize it!)

My parents gave me the swirly Mickey head and Tink. DBF had me pick out the middle bead -- he said he didn't have the confidence to pick one out himself. That one is actually from the Kay Jeweler's "Charmed Memories" collection (so is the chain -- it fits Pandora/Chamilia jewelry!) I ordered the "white radiance" Chamila bead from the Disney store website last night, and I found a really pretty red glass bead on the Kay website that I'm hoping to buy when I am at the mall on Saturday. I have a lengthy wish list of both Kay and Chamilia charms. I can't stand carrying bags, so I don't have a purse weakness (my black wonder Disney Dooney wristlet is all I use), so I guess these beads will be my "problem."

I am also squarely in the camp of people who dislike the fairy godmother bead...every time I see it, I have that split second of thinking it is actually Darth Vader.

I really think that you have to look at each individual bead when you buy them. If they have more than one in stock it helps to look at all of them. There is enough variation, even in the silver ones, that it can make a bead look cute or creepy. I especially notice it with faces.
