Disney Jewlery Thread - Chamilia and any others!

I've bought 4 new beads the past two weeks. I'm justifying them because they're all being retired (2 troll and 2 chamilia), and I only paid $80 for all of them I'm going to try to get a picture of them to share sometime tomorrow.

My local retailer just sent out an e-mail with the list of trollbeads that are being retired- I'm hoping they send out one about the chamilia beads as well. Unfortunately, the troll list doesn't have pictures, just the name of the bead.

Cant wait to see the pics!

Sorry for the awful cell phone picture- my camera has died on me, and my sister's camera is nowhere to be found.

I got the jeweled purple and jeweled pink glass chamilia beads yesterday, and the blue christmas(blue and gold) and pink checkered (pink, black and white) trollbeads last week. The trollbeads were beads that had been retired last year that the store was trying to get rid of- they were half off.

I don't know if anyone here is interested in the miss chamilia beads but I have 2 of each of the Mickey heads and the Minnie heads. They are super cute. Sterling silver with enamel. I am selling them for $15.00 each, they retail for $25.00 each. Long story why I have them, but if I could use them I would, because I love them, they are so cute. If anyone knows what they would fit on I am open to that as well. I can't post pics here but they are an active item and on the chamilia website under miss chamilia

They are really cute, but tiny. They might work nicely on a thin necklace too.

Thanks, that is the picture of the Mickey and Minnie. I tried a necklace but the turn upside down. I love the beads, I am childish at heart. Let me know if you find something to put them on and I will do thesame

Love everyone's new shares!!...it's been a while since I've been on. Love your "Dooney" shopper signature Kathy, it's so cute!! And what a nightmare you went through for your swirl bead!! That's just nuts.

On a good note, I found my slipper bead that's been missing since our cruise in May. I had wrapped it in tissue and stuck it in the wallet I was using at the time, thinking I'd add it to my collection later I should know better, I always forget when I put stuff somewhere thinking "There's no way I'm going to forget this is here"!! Been so busy, still haven't had a chance to see if I can order another end bead for my bracelet. Again, thank goodness for the stopper beads!!

My latest want on my "wish" list is the Chamilia bead called Sunshowers...




It's not Disney, but reminds me of our Disneymoon (May 2009, during the monsoon rains), and just about every other trip we've made since, it's rained. Hoping it will be my Good Luck Charm, and it WON'T rain at Disney when I wear it!!

I'm thinking of looking for some kind of individual compartments (like the Monday-Sunday pill holders thingys), but thought maybe someone here has some good ideas!

I wish the Miss Chamilia beads would fit on the bigger bracelets- they're so cute!

I can't help much with the storage question- I don't have enough beads to rotate yet, so my bracelet just goes in a bag inside my jewelry box when it's not being worn. I think a jewelry box with different compartments would work nicely, though- my mom has one that has a drawer with multiple little sections in it that would work really well for beads.

All of my beads are on bracelets, but ... to organize my earrings, I bought a plastic bead organizer tray from WalMart and put it in the top drawer of my dresser. For me, it works really, really well. The compartments are adjustable so I think something like that would work for the Chamilia/Pandora beads.

I am sorry about all the rain, but that is a very pretty bead.
You can get the Minnie dooney signature thing on the dooney board, lulu's mom designed it and alot of us have it over there!

This is so much fun. I ordered the castle bead yesterday and am hoping to buy the Disney ship charm Sunday onboard the Dream. (I hope they are not out of stock.) And of course, a few others and then on to WDW to buy more! I only have six (castle will be 7) charms right now and hope to double the number on this trip.

There is a Chamilia 3-tier jewelry box that you can buy to store your beads in although it can be a bit expensive. Prices for the jewelry box range from $35-$65 depending on the website that is selling it.

I don't know if you want to stick to just Chamilia, but I think (Pandora?) has a castle that is prettier than Chamilia's. It may not be a Disney bead, but it depicts the Castle better. I wish I had gotten a cruise ship bead when we were on the Dream last May....but DH surprised me with two of the dark purple kaleidoscope beads, and I didn't want to ask him for another! BUT, we're going on the DVC Member Cruise next January, so hope to get one then!

Did you try? My Pepperment Swirl enamel Mickey head fit on my medium flex bangle.

I'm happy to hear that you found your bead! My next purchase is going to be a stopper bead so that I don't have to switch the one I have back and forth between bracelets.

I love that sunshowers bead. I've always thought that it would be a cute addition to a Pooh themed bracelet.

My mom has the Chamilia jewelery box. It works really great for storing the beads. I use an old jewelery box that my grandmother gave me when I was a kid. It has individual compartments in the top part.

My DH got me that box for Christmas, and I really like the storage options in it. The online store that we buy most of my beads from was offering it as a free gift with a $250 purchase. Can't remember what they are selling it for as a separate purchase. They were also offering a travel pouch free with a $100 purchase, I believe.

No, I did not try that, but I will go to the store and see if that works, thanks for the suggestion. My dh today told me he could drill the opening of the bead larger, so if it doesn't work maybe the bangle will be small enough to do that as well. Thanks again for the suggestion.
