Another bump. I'm terrible at posting pictures, so I won't subject you to that! But I do love my Chamilia bracelet and bangle. And want to give a public thanks to tinkerbellmom31 for leading me to my new castle bead. Bought the Chamilia brand bracelet because they have Disney charms, but never was too crazy about the castle charm and did not buy it. Saw a neat castle charm posted on a bracelet by tinkerbellmom31. It's by OHM (fairytale castle), and reminds me of what a Disney castle charm should look like. I love it. And it fits my bracelet just fine. For all you DCL fans, I was told on my last cruise that there should be cruise ship charms coming sometime this year. The CM didn't remember if they were "ship-specific", or if it was a generic DCL charm. I have the Chamilia cruise ship, but would love to have a Disney one, so I'm hoping they are in the shops by my September cruise.

I saw that castle bead too and thought it was really cute. Much nicer than the Chamilia one.

I got this new leather bracelet for this one last week. It's actually a Pandora bracelet. I like the color better with these beads. Plus, the other pink bracelet that I have usually holds my kid's birthstone beads.

I just have a few questions...because of the expense of some of the beads, do you use the same ones in different designs (i.e. take the Mickey head from the braclette and put it in a necklace, and then switch back again)? Also, regarding the silver beads...do they tarnish or get dull? If they do, are they just silver plated and eventually wear down, or are they solid, so you can restore the original beauty? Just a few questions because I'd like to order a few online, but I don't want to invest in them if they lose their luster quickly. Thank you!!

I love, love,love my Chamilia bracelet....my DH got me one this past christmas and he buys me a new bead each holiday. Mine is isn't just Disney, there are other beads that have special meanings to him and me

It is a work in progress

After I fill this one up, I am going to start a new one specifically Disney!!

Thanks for the info!! I just had to buy a few charms last night. They have new cop one (Protect and Serve) that will be cool, as I work in law enforcement. Then I found a few of the discontinued swirly Mickey heads. I can see an addiction coming on!

Just a warning/observation regarding discontinued charms. Some websites/stores use the fact that they are discontinued to really jack up the prices on them (as much as double). But if you search a little, many other sites do NOT do this and offer discontinued styles at regular prices. It pays to shop around a little. I'm willing to pay a little extra for a discontinued charm, but am not willing to be ripped off over it.

I also switch my charms out sometimes. I like to play with them! My mom has a lot of the glass beads. She says it's like collecting marbles!

I also only have Chamilia beads so far. They are all .925 sterling, and not plated. They do get tarnished, but they clean really easily with the little cloth that they provide.

Thanks for the info! I don't mind paying money for something, as long as I know it's quality (plating rubbing off wouldn't be worth the price!). I would love, love, love the gold tink, but WOW on the price!! I'm assuming it's solid gold.

Thanks for the heads up!! I think it was okay, it wasn't any higher priced than the other charms.

Anyone ever use the beads to make an ankle bracelet? They have a 9.5" bracelet that I think would work. Or you ever use the beads as an other type of accessories (like a sandal charm)?

The Chamila beads do fit on the Pandora bracelets. My pink bracelet is a pandora and all the beads are Chamilia. I do not know about where in DLR to get them.

I think it would look cool, but I would be a little scared to wear something that expensive around my ankle.

There is a picture somewhere here on the Dis of a really pretty keyring done with the beads. It is the reason I started collecting them. I'll have to see if I can find the thread, it was at least a year ago that I saw it, maybe more.

Thanks!! I think I'd have less snaggage (is that a word?) on my ankle than I would on my wrists. I'd probably keep it simple too, just a few beads. I was wondering about your bracelet with the Blue crystal Mickey head on it (The Bangle), do the plain silver beads that come with the bangle act as locks, or are they loose? It looks like they stop the other beads from moving around? I'd love to see more of your designs if you have others to share!

I'm asking for the blue Mickey head bead for Mother's day.

That is an adorable bead. It would probably look cute with a few of the star beads and "Wishes do come true" bead. It would remind me of Wishes!!

First, I never spent more than $30 for a purse until Disney and Dooney teamed up. So now I have been feeding that addiction and now you girls have to pop on here with Disney Chamilia !!! My budget can't take this and I have no will power!!

I have ordered a couple beads to get me started...waiting for them to arrive and have a heck of a wish list going.

Disney must stop doing this too me !!

I have this idea that I would like to do a bracelet that is themed for each park, using a combination of Disney and non-Disney beads to represent my favorite things.

I just found a retired golf ball bead that is going to be the center piece for an Epcot bracelet. I would like to do a charm to represent some of my favorite countries. I thought I would use Mrs. Potts for France and maybe Dopey for Germany. There will also have to be a mixed drink bead on there to represent the Fiesta Margarita!

I would also like to do an Animal Kingdom bracelet using some of the glass beads like the zebra swirl. My Nemo bead would go on there, and there is a really cool giraffe that would be perfect for that bracelet.

I expect it's going to take me quite a while to collect all these beads!

Oh, what cute ideas!! I love playing on the Chamilia website and creating designs on their "wishlist". I have one I call "Fairytale Wedding" bracelet that has the carriage, castle, cinderella shoe, the white frosted beads, etc. I created one last night that would look real cute for the 4th of July, it has the blue Mickey Head in the center, with the silver stars on either side, and red striped bead on the end.....and one I call "Blue Christmas" I'm going to see if I can save them as JPegs pics and see what you experts think!

Think i did it!! I'd love to see some of your ideas!!
