Your PTR title caught my eye, as I am doing my first Mother/Daughter trip this August with my daughter will be turning 12. Your daughter is so cute! Have you told her about going to Disney, or will it be a surprise? I had to tell Mickey, as she likes to help plan. She's a little mini-me, so go figure! :)

Hey! I think the Mother/daughter trip is sooo special! I cannot wait to share the special experience with just the two of us!!

Yes she knows about the trip, She wont stop talking about it :lmao: We leave for our trip 2weeks after her & my birthday, so combined with being in Florida for BFF's wedding I thought it would be the perfect time to revisit Disney!!

(BFF went with us in 2009 but DD was only 2 so she only "remembers" the trip by all the pictures we have)

So super excited, Riley is soooo into fantasy, dress-up and characters now, she knows ALL the Disney movies and characters by name, and she believes they are 'real'.... I cant wait to see her face this trip.... can't put a price on the magic!!!!

Was at the store the other day, and saw this!!!

I think these are totally necessary for our trip.... right? :lmao:

When Mickey was 5, we took her to Disney for the first time (that was our "Pink Princesses Until You Puke" trip, as we like to call it! :rotfl2::rotfl2:)

We had tons of ADR character meals scheduled...and to make things more special, here's what I did. (and you're probably already doing this, so disregard if I'm sticking my nose in!)

For each ADR character meal, I printed off a letter off the computer addressed to Mickey from "the character" we were going to meet at the meal. For instance, the Cinderella letter would say something like, "Dear Mickey: I understand you're going to come and have lunch with me today at 1900 Park Fare. I can't wait to meet you! I'll be sure to come over to your table, where I hope you give me a big hug! I'm going to have Prince Charming there, as well, along with a few special surprise friends!" Blah, blah, blah.

I then decorated the letter with character stickers I picked up at the scrapbooking store...each night, when Mickey would go to bed in the resort, I'd "slide" the letter (in a matching decorated envelope) under our resort door so it looked as if the mailman had delivered it in the middle of the night.

Mickey LOVED getting the letters each day - and she "still" thinks those letters are real. Hee.

A few of my Pre-Trip Projects:

Shirt for Riley (In Progress)

Lanyard made for Riley (Thinking of making one for me as well)

And of course, the "plane" bag for our trip.... still collecting items but we are stashing up fast!!

I know, I flipped when I saw them.... I prolly looked like an idiot at the store spazzing about Mickey Bandaids :lmao:

Youre planning a Disney Wedding? Or just the Disney-moon?? Either way sounds GREAT!!! Hope I will someday be proposed to at Disney!!!

I LOVE mother/daughter trip. Of course it's always my mother and me and my sister. There is something to be said about it being "just the girls". Have a great trip, it sounds fabulous!

How fun! And your DD is tooo cute!

And I'm going on a trip with my mom in September!

Actually, it will be me, my sister, our mom, and my sister's BFF. We can't wait!

This is our first time at Sci-fi, heard the burgers are good so heres to hoping!!! we love love love O'hana's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is a must do for us on every trip.

Crystal Palace is the only one that I am not excited for, I really dont like this place, but I couldnt get us into Chef Mickey's and I let Riley decide between 1900 park & CP, she said Pooh & Tigger, and I said OK. LOL. Plus it will at least keep us in the park so we'll have more play time :woohoo:
