Disney inspired cakes

I'm not a pro and I usually only do this for my kids' birthdays. But here are 2 Disney inspired cakes. I just figured out how to post photos so I'm going crazy. I figured this was the right board to post. The first cake is a Disney princess cake (I was really proud of this one -but no one made a big deal over it so I felt kinda sad). The 2nd is an Aloha Lilo & Stitch cake for DD's last day at daycare.

I would have made a bid deal out of your princess cake!!! It is incredible. DD walked in as I was looking at it and said "oooh!!! That would be perfect for my birthday!!
The second cake is really great too!

The turrets are covered in MMF. The cake is just my big round tip all over then I just flattened it to look like stones.

Awesome cakes!! I made a castle cake too, but not nearly as nice as yours, and I got tons of oohs and ahs; I guess I didn't have too many Martha Stewarts in my crowd , so any home made cake looked like a masterpiece. Perhaps you just missed hearing the raves; how could they not??

The Tiffany cake isn't mine -- can't take credit for it. It's wonderful isn't it?


Never took a cake decorating class -- just bought a couple books and fool around with it.

That castle cake is AWESOME!!! My dd's 5th b-day is coming up in a couple of weeks and she is a princess freak. how exactly did you make the turrets?? How did you shape the cake? I love it and if you don't mind I might borrow this idea.
