I'm not a pro and I usually only do this for my kids' birthdays. But here are 2 Disney inspired cakes. I just figured out how to post photos so I'm going crazy. I figured this was the right board to post. The first cake is a Disney princess cake (I was really proud of this one -but no one made a big deal over it so I felt kinda sad). The 2nd is an Aloha Lilo & Stitch cake for DD's last day at daycare.

I would have made a bid deal out of your princess cake!!! It is incredible. DD walked in as I was looking at it and said "oooh!!! That would be perfect for my birthday!!
The second cake is really great too!

I think that both cakes look awesome:thumbsup2 Great job!:cool1: They both look like a lot of work but I'm sure the kids loved them!

Your cakes look great. I was wondering what you frosted the princess cake with?

Thanks
The turrets are covered in MMF. The cake is just my big round tip all over then I just flattened it to look like stones.

Awesome cakes!! I made a castle cake too, but not nearly as nice as yours, and I got tons of oohs and ahs; I guess I didn't have too many Martha Stewarts in my crowd :) , so any home made cake looked like a masterpiece. Perhaps you just missed hearing the raves; how could they not??

Ok I gotta know did you takea class? I saw your Tiffany cake and then went to look for other cakes you made.

I always wanted to take a class, but never made the time . How hard is it

The Tiffany cake isn't mine -- can't take credit for it. It's wonderful isn't it?

Never took a cake decorating class -- just bought a couple books and fool around with it.

That castle cake is AWESOME!!! My dd's 5th b-day is coming up in a couple of weeks and she is a princess freak. how exactly did you make the turrets?? How did you shape the cake? I love it and if you don't mind I might borrow this idea.

great job!!! sorry I haven't commented earlier...I DIS at work ;) (shh) and the pics don't show up...lol
